"Okay Lils, it's getting late and Zach needs to go back to his place."

"Five more minutes please!"

"You said that an hour ago, you can't keep him in here forever."

"I can try!" Zach laughs.

Jack checks his watch.

"Can he stay for dinner?"

"Lils, we had dinner already."

"I meant...breakfast?"

Zach checks the time.

"Oh my, I really gotta go Libby. I'm gonna loose the bus, I don't wanna walk home all alone."

"Dad can take you! He had his car fixed! I'm a big girl, I can get ready to bed all alone."

Jack ponders for a bit and groans.  He grabs the car keys.

"Fine. But I want the door locked as soon as we leave, and the phone with you in case you need it."

"And don't forget to close the windows."

"I won't, I promise."

"I love you."

"I love you too dad!" She stands on her tip toes and waits for Jack to bend down to kiss his cheek.

"Bye Libby, I had a lot of fun with you."

"Bye Zachy! Don't forget what I said!"

"I won't, I promise." The two walk out the door and Liberty locks the door.

They make their way to Jack's car.

"What did she tell you?" The curly head asks curiously.

"Just that she likes my hair and she thinks a little perm would make it cooler." Jack chuckles and shakes his head.

"That girl is something."

"She's a great kid...really smart too."

"I used to let her see national geographic documentaries while I studied for my exams." They chuckle.

Zach tells him the way to his apartment as they make small talk.

"And we're here...thanks for driving me here." Zach takes out the seat belt.

"It's the least I could do."

The brunet smiles.

He decides to follow the girl's advice.

"Hey, you seem like a nice dude...do you wanna...maybe go on a date or something?" Jack's cheeks turn light pink.

"Uhmm....sure...yeah. Text me the day and time."

"I will." Zach pecks his cheek and walks to his building.

Jack looks at him with a goofy expression on his face as he gets in.

The brunet waves him goodbye.

Jack closes his front door and sighs happily.

"What happened?"

"Jesus- Fu...frick...Liberty! Dont scare me like that!"

"You're avoiding my question."

"Im not avoiding anything...time for bed."

Liberty pouts and walks to her room.

Jack puts on his pajamas and washes his teeth.
