Engage the Witch Hunter! pt1

(Y/N)'s PoV

Another day at the DWMA, yup another day just as boring as the las- "maka.. CHOP" well maybe not. Maka Albarn one of the smartest students in class crescent moon, and her cool weapon Soul Eater, I honestly kind of admired them both. They were friendly and amazing at collecting souls, and from what I have heard Soul had almost become a death scythe, but due to a misunderstanding with a magical cat, which I still have no idea if it's a joke or not.

I mean a magical cat could be a euphemism for something else like an accident... but what would the magical part be about?? I am suddenly brought back to reality when my, Maka and Soul's names being called by Spirit, wait when did he get here?

"what is it now" i looked at Soul looking quite irritated, seriously what did I miss?! "Lord Death wants to see you in the Death room, You've been excused from class so get going, shoo shoo" he said mostly aimed at Soul. "He wants to see us?" Soul and Maka questioned in perfect sync, that's cool haha ha ha- WAIT LORD DEATH WANTS TO SEE US!?

Now walking in the long guillotine filled hallway "I wonder why Lord Death wants to see us" Maka ponders to herself "who knows" Soul answers in an uninterested tone but turns around to make eye contact with me. "Hey name's Soul, I haven't seen you around you new?" OK (Y/N) HUMAN INTERACTION ACT NORMAL

"U-uh no- uh my name's (Y/N), I just tend to keep to myself that's all!" nailed it. Maka notably intrigued joins in on the conversation "So (Y/N) do you not have a partner?" "n-not really no, I'm a solo weapon" I chuckle nervously at the sudden attention.

3rd PoV

"Look at Soul and Maka down there, they think they could give someone else the title of star do they? Tsubaki let's go" Blackstar announced "right!" Tsubaki retorts "assasins rule number one! Dissolve in the darkness and erase your breath. Wait for an opening to attack your target!" The group of three turn around to the loud talking above them. "Oh look! it's Blackstar" Maka said matter-of-factly "why are you standing there yelling like an idiot?" Soul added making causing the (colored haired) girl to suppress a chuckle.

The black haired girl turns partly into her human form "they found us pretty easily" she sighed.  "It can be real difficult to hide when you're a big a star as I am!" the loud male states.

Both Tsubaki and Blackstar jump down from the tall guillotines "Oh well, that's a disadvantage I think I can handle. Pretty big of me huh Tsubaki?" "Oh yes" Tsubaki agrees with her partner. "Seriously?" Maka asks bewildered at the interaction that took place.

(Y/N)'s PoV

Blackstar, another classmate I came to admire as well, a confident, talented meister, and in his own words, he is the man who will surpass god. Frankly everything I wish to be "what are you doing here, were you guys called in to see Lord Death too?" Soul asks "what if we were?" Blackstar responded.

Maka walks up to the to the large mirror "here I'll call him" she wrote on the mirror as she spoke "42-42-564. Whenever you want him knock on Death's door" the mirror faintly glowed and before long, there he was Lord Death himself "yeah, yeah. Hi, hello, what's up? thanks for coming."

"Scythe meister, Maka reporting in"

"yeah and dark arm meister too" "and Tsubaki, I'm his partner." oh god they're all saying their names, damn just don't overthink it (Y/N).

I see Maka give me a glance "and don't forget weapon (Y/N) too" I catch a glimpse of her smiling at me before turning to Lord Death. I feel my face slightly heat up and the kind gesture, omigod she's so nice!

"Well what did you want with us" Soul asks "right. I have a little assignment for you guys to take on" "assignment?""Some extra lessons"he utters, WAIT hold on isn't that for- "HUH, those lessons stupid people get, those lessons?!" Maka finishes my thought, Soul understandably irritated turns away "well screw that, I'm going to be a death scythe. I'm way to cool to get extra lessons"

"Do your duties as meisters and weapons?" Lord Death asks us "Yes, our duties as meisters is to feed our weapons 99 kishin souls and 1 witch's soul. We collect evil souls in order to keep the world at peace, we work to create a death scythe; weapon of the Grim Reaper Death" Maka responds, huh she actually memorized the whole thing "you are absolutely right, but do you know how many souls you all managed to collect? Exactly zero" Maka, Soul, Tsubaki and I stood in total shock and of course Blackstar just burst into laughter before getting reaper chopped "this isn't something to laugh about chuckles. Anyways are you ready to learn what your extra lessons entail? Maybe you've all ready heard the rumors? About Sid who taught here at the school until recently."

"See? I was right, it wasn't just a story" Soul said "yeah. But a zombie? I always thought he was a really good teacher" Maka replies "hehe.. yeah he was really nice.." I quietly added, man I'm still not out of the shock am I? My eyes looked over at the others, huh, guess they're not out of it yet either I joked to myself. "You're right when he was alive he was regarded as an excellent teacher, but when he became a zombie he changed. He has been released from the fear of death and now he wants others to have the same freedom he has." Lord Death explained "he is trying to train students to free themselves as well but when a student won't listen Sid attacks. Another difficulty is that we still don't know who changed Sid into a zombie, or what their motive could've possibly have been." "Okay! You can leave it all to me sir! For our extra lesson we just have to eliminate these guys?" Blackstar shouts.

"Yup that's pretty much it! Now I don't want to put too much pressure on you, but if you happen to fail at these extra lessons then you're all going to be expelled." "What you're going to kick us  out?!?" We all shriek in terror. "There's nothing to worry about I can take care of these guys in my sleep!" just laugh away the pain (Y/N) hehehe...
