GRACE
Something feels different about todayThe lights around the room seem dimmer
The obvious but subtle reflection of blue is no longer there
The lonley feeling of emptiness is starting to fade
And I'm actually feeling.......hopeful?
I don't know what this feeling is but it doesn't seem all that bad.
~~
Each light bulb in the room is breaking one by one, the glass is pitching in every direction and I'm trying my hardest to shield myself.
Every move that I try to make initiates an immediate set of pain that shoots through my leg.
I can no longer clearly see where I'm going and I'm starting to feel......terrified?
I'm quickly but cautiously making my way towards the last set of lights that I can see, noticing that they're quickly breaking I start to run trying my hardest to ignore the shocks of pain beneath my feet.
When I'm almost two steps away from the last light a door appears, feeling a rush of........excitement? , I leap towards it and grab onto the handle.
I'm.....panicking? as I struggle to open the door before the place gets complete dark, everything hurts and I'm just about to give up before I hear the heart wrenching voice of someone.
"Grace I don't know if you can hear me but it's all on you ok, we've done all we could out here and I'm begging you to just fill in the dots, I'm right her next to you Gracey and I know that your strong enough. You have family and friends that love you and we just want you back, please wake up, everyone needs you.
This is all the motivation I need before I use all of my strength and completely pull the knob off of the door, not wasting another second I walk through the door into the unknown as the last light breaks."
~~
My head hurts like a bitch and my body feels too weak to move.
I feel someone enclose their fingers around my hand and it causes me to flinch.
"I th- , I think I just felt her move".
Multiple hushed voices start going off and it only makes my headache worse,
I hear a familiar but soft voice ask someone to please be quite, and I don't know who they are but it causes the entire room to go silent.
For some reason it felt like I was talking for a second but thats just crazy right, I mean what next I'm I gonna think that I opened my eye-
I immediately see the familiarity of a bright white light and I start to calm myself down because for a second I actually thought that I was somewhere else, but weirdly enough the light goes away and I'm met with the sight of a man staring at me right in my face.
"Someone call the doctor, she's awake, oh Thank God you're awake." The strange male infront of me exclaims before kissing me on my forehead.
I couldn't help but stare, could this actually be him , could this be the infamous poet and heart breaker, I take a moment to take in his facial structure, the colour of his hair and all of his striking features.
"Grace can you say something, please just anything." He pleads as he tightens his hold on me.
"Your-." I try to speak but it only comes out as a hoarse whisper.
"Can someone get her a glass of water please." someone that I can't see request, I try to direct my sight to the direction of the voice but I fail horribly as my head is still being held up by the strange male specimen.
He eventually let's go of my head and hands me a glass of water, I slowly drink the water until I feel comfortable enough to use my voice.
The male specimen takes the glass away from me and takes my hand once again, "Go ahead, what is it that you wanted to say."
I clear my throat and take a once over the room, I can faintly recognize everyone in the room but they all still feel like strangers.
I direct my attention back towards the male specimen and say the one thing that's crossed my mind since I've woken up or whatever the hell that's happening. "Your eyes."
"Yeah, what about them?" He responds clearly confused.
I slowly pull my hands out of his as I contine, "They aren't blue."
