"Oh my God... what have we done?"

"Hm?" Randall turned towards her and lifted a hand to caress her cheek. "What is it? What's wrong?"

She shook her head as she lifted her gaze to his eyes. "What if we just sent Jack to his death?" The words burned her throat on their way out. They fizzled over her tongue and left a gritty taste in her mouth.

Randall's head craned towards the temple. His eyes narrowed in contemplation before he looked back at her. "They won't kill him."

"How do you know?" She pleaded for a logical answer form him.

He bowed his head as he lifted his other hand to hold her face delicately. "Because apparently Lilith did something so bad they had to wipe her memory after being in for a while. They don't just kill people who want to leave. That would give them a bad image."

"Right..." She nodded as his answer made sense. She gulped and lowered her gaze to his chin, then even lower to his chest. "Right... okay. Yeah, you're right. It's just- Willow is extremely protective of you guys-" She looked back to him as she explained. "And being by this-" She looked over at the temple. She scanned its shitty perimeter and the vines growing around the chipping exterior. "It makes her anxious. I can, literally, feel her clenching in anger."

Randall let out a breathy laugh as his thumbs moved over the peaks of her cheeks. He turned her head so she looked up at him again. "He'll be fine, and if not, then Willow and Graybeard will kick some major ass, just like we did with Dr. Asshole."

Remi smirked inappropriately at the memory.

"Okay," She nodded as she lifted her hands to grab onto his wrists. "You know you have quite a way of making me feel better."

Randall cocked his head to the side as his smile widened. "Yeah?"

"Mhm," She nodded as she rubbed her thumbs along his wrists. "I..." She licked her lips as her eyes fluttered all across his face. "I've always tried not to rely on one person too much. It's just, with moving around so often it wasn't smart for me to completely trust a person because I knew at the end of the year I'd leave them behind."

The tips of Randall's eyebrows pinched together as his hands hardened over her cheeks. "But it's different this time," he promised her lowly. "You're still going to be here next year and the year after that-" His smile widened as he bowed his head towards her. "And the year after that."

She hummed as her nose scrunched up. "What about the year after that?"

He chuckled as he leaned down to kiss her. Her eyes closed instinctively as she lost herself in the gentle caress of his lips. She smiled into the kiss as pure bliss wrapped lovingly around her.

Randall pulled away and moved his left hand down to her chin. "I could stare at that smile all day."

She giggled as she opened her eyes to look up at him. "You're an absolute dork, did you know that? I didn't realize you'd be so mushy once we kissed." Her eyes moved from his eyes down to his parted lips. "Who knew you could be such a romantic?"

His lips pulled back as his hands held her jawline delicately. "You want romantic?"

"I want it all," she confessed as she looked back into his eyes.

His smile widened as he dropped his hands from her face to wrap around her waist. He pulled her flush against him as he spun the both of them around.

Remi laughed as her toes barely scraped the ground. He spun them round and round over the concrete sidewalk. He hummed a tune that was vaguely familiar to Remi, but she couldn't quite place it. He continued to hum as his hands pressed into her back and he moved them to a loose, rhythm less dance.
