~Chapter 28~

Genevieve's POV

I ran my fingers through my hair, my leg bouncing up and down from my nervousness.The announcement of the plane landing in a couple of minutes was heard.

My eyes threatened to cry, my heart shattered every-time I think something bad must of happen to them.

The plane finally stopped and I quickly unbuckled my seatbelt and took off my heels so I could run once we got off.

I looked over at Royalty, who was doing the same and the doors opened.

We quickly ran over to the house and went in seeing all the security we had in the living room talking among each other.

"What the hell is going on!" I said,

They looked at me before Bill and James came over,"Gene, we went back on the footage and saw they went for a walk on the beach and they never got back." James said.

My eyes watered, "How did no one see them! there are a dozen of you and you managed not to do your job, you know what, Okay let's find them." Royalty said.

"They snuck out threw a side door." Bill said

"Gene, I advise you and Royalty to stay here." James said.

" I'm not staying here, drowning in my thoughts thinking the worst, I'm going." I said then going to go change into some clothes. I put on my coke t-shirt with sweats on and sandals.

I walked back down to see Royalty, her eyes were red and she was standing off with the security waiting for any information.

She walked up to me handing me a cup of coffee "It's about to be 2am and we have 5 acres to look  for them, we're not involving police now until we are sure. We don't want any scandals right now." she said as I put on my jacket.

I nodded my head receiving the coffee from her.

The others went on foot while some of us went on four-wheelers

The cold breeze runs through my hair as we drove around. My nose became cold and I clutched my jacket even tighter.

"There's a cabin around some trees from here, let's check there." one said on a walkie talkie.

They took a left turn and drive through some trees.

There was a dim light coming from a window and I prayed it was a light and not the moon reflecting light or my mind playing tricks.

Bill parked the four-wheeler,
"We'll check it out two stay with the guys."

I didn't blink once, thinking I would miss something and then Bill kicked the door in and went inside.

It took around 10 minutes and he didn't come out.

"Fuck this." I mumbled before I got out walking towards the cabin

"Gene!" Royalty and the other security yelled at me.

I walked in and felt my heart pump even harder and then relief.

August, Michael and Landon sitting near a fireplace.

Royalty walked in and ran toward them hugging August.

I cried as I hugged Michael and Landon, I never wanted to let them go.

Michael looked at me before he handed over a fussy Landon.

I hugged him kissing him over his face "has he eaten?" Michael shook his head no and I went over and hugged August tightly.

"Bill what happened?" Royalty asked.
