Michael's POV

I woke up in the best mood I'd ever had in a longtime, flashbacks of last night crossed my mind and I turned around to see Gene but she was no where in sight.

I touched the side of the bed of where she slept and it felt oddly cold. I furrowed my eyebrows confused, she must of not slept here last night or something.
I quickly went to the bathroom and did my business before putting on my black slacks and a white v neck and NY loafers.

I walked out my room with out any second thoughts and walked to Genes's room.Surprisingly the door was unlocked and I walked in.

I saw her back to the wall, knees tucked up to her chest. Wearing only a towel crying with a single tissue in her hand.

" hey, hey what happen? " I said rushing over to her, reaching down to her level.

I shook her up and she opened her eyes that were bloodshot red. It looked like she slept in this position .

" what's wrong ?" I asked her

" you....." She said faintly.

I sighed heavily, my heart broke at the sight of her being so vulnerable it reminded of me.

"what do you mean" I asked confused.

" Michael... Don't you get it!? Your suppose to get married. We're not meant to be, WE messed up.... I messed up." She said

" I know but I can't let you go and you know that. Last night was one of the best nights I had in a while . I-I-I can't live without you." I said as I wrapped my arms around her.

She shook her head, sitting up.
"no..."

I leaned in and felt her breath on my lips. Our eyes moved down to each other's lips until I moved mine to hers before feeling the sparks.

" stop please." she mumbled against my lips. I let her go leaving my lips numb and wanting more.

"I can't lose you, not again and I'll leave Diana, I don't care just know...that I love you."

She pushed me off her "Mike your cheating on Diana with me and let me refresh your memory you cheated on me too."

" okay I'll leave her then! with you it was an accident the whole cheating thing, and you know that. I can't live my life every second if it ain't without you girl."

"Michael don't say that; you can't just take me back and leave her the next day y'all already got the wedding planned and everything. You wasted hella money, I should know I'm designing her dress and so far her dress estimate is almost six-figures." She said heavily sighing.

I groaned in response,
"I don't care about the money I just need your love, that's more than anything to me at this point."

She stayed silent as she wiped away her tears.

"We were each other's first, y-you can't forget about someone like that you have a connection that makes you want them forever ."

" please Gene I love you, I'll leave Diana when I see her." I continued on,

She didn't say anything

"Say something Genevieve please..."

I realized her stubborn self wasn't gonna say anything and I got up and turned my back at her; ready to walk out since her answer was so clear to me, and the ache of my heart returned.
