~Chapter 32~

Genevieve's POV

The warm breeze hits my skin as I open the door of the cabin. I walk over to the four wheeler waiting for Michael.

I sat on the four wheeler in my thoughts.

"I love you." He said,

I was stunned not knowing how to reply," M-Michael you can't say that."

He sighed sitting up," I do, I always have! You just have to bare with me until this Diana thing ends." He said as he grabs my hand.

I snatched my hand back,"When is it going to end? Huh after 10 years of marriage? No I'm not going to do that." I said and he stays silent not looking at me and I scoff," I'll meet you outside."

Michael came outside and got on the four-wheeler driving home, neither one of us said anything until we pulled up in the garage, "I'm sorry Gene I didn't mean to tell you how I actually feel." I rolled my eyes at him,"It's okay let's just get to dinner." I said feeling my stomach growl.

He sighs heavily as we got back. I grabbed my stuff and was going to get ready for tonight but Michael grabs my waist turning me around to look at him," I'm sorry, I shouldn't have gone there." He says then leaves me a long lingering kiss on my lips.

I unwrapped my hands from his neck,"let's forget about it." I said.
He nodded before leaving me. I walked up to my room, opening the door seeing Royalty and Landon on the bed.

"Hey." I said dropping my stuff on the floor and sitting on the bed.
Royalty smiles hard at me and Landon's walks over to my lap.
"Hey Gene you have fun today?" She said wiggling her eyebrows, I blush then throw a pillow at her.

She laughs,"Everyone could hear you!" I covered my ears in attempt for her to stop but she didn't.

"Nah I'm just playin we we're walking on the beach and we heard y'all getting freaky."

I picked Landon up tickling him.
"Right, why are you here anyways aren't you suppose to be with August?"

She rolls her eyes," hes working out and Michael told me to help you get ready for tonight."

I nodded, "well I'm going to take a shower then." I said getting up.

After my shower Royalty insured me she would do everything from my makeup to my shoes. I sat in my vanity as she was giving me a nude look for my makeup.

"Girl you look out of it, whats wrong?" She said putting powder on me," It's a lot but I don't think I can keep doing this."

She stopped what she was doing and put the brush down," what do you mean?"

I looked at her through the mirror," He told me he loved me."
She snorted," well damn girl isn't that what you wanted?"

I sighed as she finishes up," yeah but I feel bad he is going to get married in a couple of weeks."
She shook her head," this is why I don't involve myself with married men or engaged ones."

"But Gene,He was the only man that you ever truly loved and gave yourself too, you told him secrets you wouldn't tell no other man. Your so attached to him, you have chemistry with him even if you don't believe it." she continued.
