~Chapter 34~

My red heels click furiously against the marble floor. I've been in and out of meetings all day without a break and without a chance to see Landon.

It's been a few days since I last heard of Michael and I understand that we need space but Landon's birthdays coming up.

My thoughts are interrupted as I see King waiting for me in the lobby," Hey babe."  He says kissing me and I kiss him back.

He wraps his hand around my shoulder and we walk out getting inside his car.

"Where are you taking me? You missed my turn." I say looking out the window.

"I was thinking lunch at my restaurant, you haven't been eating a lot recently."

I nod my head in silence he's right. Since Milan I haven't been the same I've been consuming myself in work so I wouldn't think of him and then I tend to forget to eat.

We park and walk through the front and he whispers in my ear,"Did I tell you you look good in leather?" He says before kissing my lips and I smile against his lips and take a chair out.

"I'll be back let me bring you some new stuff we got." He says before leaving.

I look around, noticing business men having lunch a few celebrities  here and there and then my eyes stop when I see Michael staring at me and If looks can kill I would of been dead he proablaly saw us kiss. Good I hope I make him jealous. I roll my eyes and I notice  he's sitting with his lawyer, Diana, and Frank.

Something probably happened if there all together.

King comes back with three champagne types for us to taste.
"I got our food going. Oh and did you see Michaels here."

I nod,"yeah." Trying my best to ignore them.

After sometime we get our food and we're trying the Champaign and I see them get up.

Frank walks to me," Gene! More beautiful than ever, nice to see you pumpkin." He says hugging me.

"Hi Frank nice to see you as well." I did receiving the hug.

Diana and Michael walk up to us and I sigh heavily looking at King.

"King." Michael says plainly.

"Michael." King replies the same way.

" Diana this is King I don't think you ever had the pleasure of meeting her." Michael says.

"Pleasure...Yeah right." I mumble

Diana twist her head rolling her eyes.

"And I'm Diana nice to meet you., it's about time Gene didn't mess with marry men anymore-wait don't tell me you married too."

I stand up furiously,"Oh really you wanna start this shit here,now? "

She rolls her eyes hiding behind Michael.

King slams the glass," y'all really could do this anywhere but y'all chose to do this here. Stop Gene you always want to yell at someone you act like a five year old!"

I scoff,"Oh Really me? You sou-"

I was cut off by Michael," don't talk to her like that, you respect her don't make me beat your ass like I did yesterday."

King rolls his eyes and I glare at him surprised he would say that to me.

" Gene we haven't talked but I just met with the lawyer and we're clear, I'll pick up Landon tonight.

"Okay." I say not looking at him but at my glass cup. He clears his throat picking up the Champaign bottle then tossing it to King who catches it quickly.
