~Chapter 36~

Genevieve's POV

I awkwardly scratched my head as we hear Michael and Katherine
arguing in the next room.

"You Keep doing the same mistakes and I can't sit here and see you do this, I raised you better. I hope you stay with her. But Michael you had another child in wedlock!"

"Mother I'm so sorry, you as a Jehovah Witness I should of known better , I apologize!"

"You always gotta make your damn mama cry!" Joe yells at Michael.

I then see Katherine walk out into the living room," Goodnight kids have a safe drive home." She says slamming the door.

We hear Joes yelling and Michael before it goes silent.

I see an angry Michael walk back in standing by the door opening it and Joe walks out, Michael slams the door behind him.

"How about opening the presents?" August says breaking the tension.

Michael shakes his head and walks away to the back.

We look at each other and Diana gets up," I'll talk to him."

When Michael and Joes get into it he gets so sad or angry. But he's most definitely angry with the way he stomped off.

I clap my hands together," okay present time, Janet pass me one."

She overlooks the pile of presents," okay here."

"These present have to be good most of the people that came have money so...."

I put Landon on my lap helping him open his presents,"Wow Landon look a set of cars!"

He happily clapped and got another one,"Look August it's from the Kanye west family." I said reading the label.

August sat over to me, and we ripped it showing some small yeezy shoes with jacket.

"Awww." Janet, Royalty and I said in uníson.

After many presents and money Diana walked in," someone please talk to him he won't talk to me."

August looked away and Royalty pointed at me.

" I have to go but tell my big brother I love him." Janet says winking at me.

I sighed heavily,"I'll go talk to him."

Diana rolls her eyes,"of course you'll go?" She mumbles.

" got something to say?" I say standing.

She sits back down," No."

That's what I thought.

I walk over to the backyard, not seeing anybody and then I see a dim light coming from his giving tree.

I look up and climb the tree, I see Michael sitting on the edge looking at the distance at the many people cleaning up the party.

"Mike." I said putting my hand on his shoulder and he looks up to me.

I sit down next to him," you okay?"

He nods," yeah my mother and Joes are right."

I look out to the view and he continues," I'm so sorry Gene I'll say it to you as many times, you may have forgiven me but I haven't forgiven myself yet."

I felt bad and even though I was still very much madly in love with him I still wanted to be his friend and comfort him.

I wrap my arm around his shoulder pulling him into me,
" Michaels you can't keep beating yourself up."

He covers his face with his hands.
Then glances at the stars.

"We heard you guys fight." I said quietly.

"Then did you hear what Joe called me even though I'm a grown l adult he still manages to make me feel so bad and treat me like a child. I'm so embarrassed about myself."

I sigh sadly remembering flashbacks years back about the talk we had when he confessed to me about his home life and I told him about mine.

"Michael you are Gods most beautiful unique creature he made, he mad you to his perfection."

He blushes looking away," I'm not though."

"Do you know who you are? Michael fucking Jackson. Your an artist you have saved people listening to your music. Your big heart for kids and for the poor, and don't even get me started on your looks because you are fineee." I smile and he laughs blushing like crazy. "Don't let nobody say anything because I'm sincerely tell you the truth." I say seriously.

I look over at him seeing a tear slip from his eye,"Thanks Gene, I don't know what I would do without you."

"I'm scared to think of that." I say sincerely. He pulls me to a tight hug and I cuddle into his chest inhaling his scent.

I feel him cry softly into me and I cry because I didn't want this to end not just the hug but my love for him and we stayed on that tree in each others arms not letting one go, until we both finished crying.

We eventually let go of each other and got down the tree," good talk huh?" He said I nodded heartily.

"Well it's almost three in the morning and I have a long drive."

He stopped as we walked into the kitchen,"stay the night here it's getting really late, your more asleep then awake." He say before chuckling.

I shook my head smiling." I don't want to bother anyways it 20minutes away and maybe theirs light traffic at 3am.

Diana walks in," what's going on she got you talking huh?"

"Their staying the night." Michael says ignoring what she just said.

Diana nodded scratching the back of her head," okay well Royalty and August are too."

Michael turned off the light in the kitchen and we walked upstairs

" I'm going to take a bath Mike join me?" Diana says rubbing his chest. He smiles down at her nodding.

I throw up in my mouth and she walks to their room staring at me,

"Mike tell your fiancé to relax I won't try anthing" I said jokingly and he laughs," I'll see you later goodnight and thanks again." He says before kissing my cheek.

He lets me go and i walk into the room and I see Landon sleeping on the bed and I open the another door that was connected and see Royalty passed out on the bed with August.

I put my hair into a bun before diving under the covers and close my eyes.

"Gene, wake up we got shit to do!" Royalty said pulling me up

"What?" I said gasping taken a back that she scared me.

"The whole world is talking about you and Michael and we need to clear the air and there are even more weirder rumors like Diana is actually the mother of Landon and your the side piece."

I furrowed my eyebrows then grabbing a cup of orange juice in her hand.

"And I left out the part you two have to do an interview together talking about what happened."

I spit out my orange juice.
"What!?"
