“Found the folder! 01.04.2020. Tell me the time with a bit precision”, said Zepher.
“Check your call log, Agent Cutlet. Agent Peppermint's mom called you around then", Ashton said solemnly. Colin nodded his way.
Scott was teasing Ashton by calling him cute and pinching his cheeks as if he were a girl. ‘Cute’ is an understatement for a boy and as a tomboy, I learnt that. Not that I mind being called that. “Will you stop that and pretend to be serious since it's RARE to SEE you serious", Ashton scowled, slapping Scott's hand away and Scott was having a gale.
“Bruh! Whatcha takin' so long for?”, I moaned at Colin, leaning on Mia's shoulder. TRIED to lean on her shoulder but figured I was way short for that so I leaned on Rachel's. She gave me a nasty look and laughed but didn't attempt on pushing me away. See what I mean? I have the world's BESTEST friends.
“Hey, I’m not jobless like you. I get a lot of business calls, family calls and girlfriend calls", Colin replied parchly.
“Oooh~ How many do you have?”, I inquired with an interested look.
“Thirty-two. Oh wait, I broke up with one yesterday. Thirty-one", he smirked roguishly.
“What a flirt!”, I rolled my eyes at him.
“And a heartbreaker", added Rachel, with an understanding nod.
“And a heartbreaker", I repeated after her, with an understanding nod.
“And a playboy", added Sky, with an understanding nod.
“And a playboy", me and Rachel repeated after her simultaneously, with an understanding nod.
“Hey, this has got to be the first time Agents Cutlet and Peppermint have talked to each other without arguing or insulting each other. So you guys ARE capable of not fighting—”, Mia grinned like a Cheshire car.
“NOT-IN-THE-SLIGHTEST!”, me and Colin glared at each other.
“Yeah, not in the slightest", Theo repeated mournfully. “They drive me paranoid!”
“2:47. I’d say we clubbed at the parking lot at around 2:51”, Colin calculated in his mind.
“Camera's been jammed", Zepher replied, clicking on a file that made an annoying error sound.
“Try the previous times when we were still in. Might find something”, instructed Colin, moving towards the control panel and taking charge.
“Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!”, Colin cursed furiously, running his hand through his hair. I turned to Sky. “How come you didn't shout ‘language’ at him?”
“Because I don't care if he becomes a street beggar in the future and cuz he's older than me”, she replied monotonously. She's definitely upset about something... Sky has this abnormal disorder of mood swings. Not an actual disorder, just sayin'.
He tried a few other footages but they were all jammed. “Were they there when we entered the park?”, I spoke. “No, there was just a small family of four packing their picnic basket in the boot of their red colour Audi", Rafel's hollow voice came from behind me.
“Why don't you people just start checking the footages from 1:25?”, Scott said in an obvious tone. That could work too.
“That’s a great idea. Finally, you took notice of my suggestion and bought yourself a new brain", Ashton sighed in relief and Scott shot a fake-glare his way.
