I ignored all the keen eyes but they didn't dare bring the subject up. The Blackstars are pretty famous around school and most people know to not mess with us.

“Voila!”, Rachel greeted me with a five as I typed in my combination and the locker clicked open. I plumped a gummy bear into my mouth as Rachel got herself a milk toffee from my locker. I’ve got the food supply hidden here. Stolen from school.

“I knew it!”, I chuckled, walking into class only finding me, Rachel, Luke and Xander present as usual.

“Wazzup!”, Luke waved his hand at us.

“The ceiling that shelters us from the bright sky outside. The clouds and then... Well, there's Troposphere then Stratosphere, Mesosphere, Thermosphere and Exosphere. They're, at the moment, shaded by the sun. And then... erm... there're those other planets and asteroids and the milky galaxy and stars and all those other stuff you learnt that lives in the universe. Oh, that's also where this communication satellite lives. Be free to tell me if there is anything you'd like to add”, I replied, remembering Sky's very long sarcastic reply she sent Rachel.

“Someone! Please, take away my soul!”, Rachel cried dramatically. I grinned at her.

“Rachel, Liz, SAD NEWS!”, Xander was on the verge of tears. “First period might happen! And guess whose? MARY'S!”

“YOU'RE KIDDING MEH!”, me and Rachel exclaimed in unison.

“Nooooo!”, Luke did a dramatic pose holding his hands up as if someone was slowly pulling his soul away.

Rachel stormed to the seat in the way back and grabbed her Maze Runner book, stormed to the front, opened the book, stuck her nose to it furiously.

“Worst possible way to start school", I sighed, slipping into the seat next to Rachel.

“Any of the guys present?”, I asked her. “They're all absent!”, Luke called out, clearly eavesdropping. I would've smacked him but let Rachel take care of this.

“One more time you lean in on our conversation, I’m gonna rotate your headd like a planet that’s lost its axis”, she snapped making him give a silent dog nod.

After the silence bell, Rachel had this need to go for an emergency pee so she strutted outta class ASAP. The plump dark faced woman entered.

She had marks across her face with a mouth of a horse's and she was short, her black plaited hair slinging on her shoulder as she pushed her oval glasses above her nose. She's annoying.

“Only this much?”, Mary questioned, looking around the class. “Come sit front”

The boys sat next to me as her eyes laid on Rachel's ‘Maze Runner: Scorch Trials’. Plus, it's a new book. “Aah, Raaj Kumar also came", she grinned. She addresses Rachel as an Indian actor.

     PS: She's bad in English.

I gulped and started sweating profusely as the teacher took the story book to her hands. Xander pinched my hand to earn my attention. “What?”, I hissed at him with my eyes tight shut. Rachel LOATHES Mary. Rachel LOVES books. I hope you understood.

“Look! Rachel's gonna be pissed", he said in a melted tone, worried for his classmate. I dreaded opening my eyes. I let out a gasp and tried my best to not cover my face or slap her. She was FOLDING the book! Rachel's gonna be BEYOND pissed.

Mary was ranting about how much she loves books while I held by breath to stop myself from doing anything disrespectful. I heard a noise on the right to see a heated Rachel, resent clear in her eyes that were focused on her book.

“Aah, Raaj Kumar, come, come. Kid, I was wondering if I could re—”

Rachel had snatched the book away brusquely, giving her an irritated look. She placed her book in the very back and strode forwards, taking her seat next to me impertinently. I was too shocked to say anything. The teacher looked both offended and shocked that one of her most prized student acted this way to her. I ignored my will to laugh.

“E-erm... Well, I have got work in the...staff room. If you kids need anything, I will be there”, and with that, Mary left. I shifted uncomfortably in my seat.

“THAT-WAS-SO-COOL!”, Luke cheered making me chuckle. “Yeah, I know right! Rachel, next time, I suggest you don't keep your story books on the table”, I told her.

     “Never again...”, she muttered furiously.

“Chill, Rachel. Aren't you happy to have stood up to her like that", Xander grinned, acting Rachel while Luke imitated Mary.

“You're right. I’m glad to have done that”, Rachel laughed.

“Let's watch a movie!”, Luke insisted, turning on the smartboard. Our class was big with a small whiteboard, a big smartboard, a smart TV and a computer for operating. We decorated our class in the beginning of our year with streamers and each of something that represents everyone of us and we'd gone fantasy themed with flying dragons hanging on the ceiling and cardboard smurfs placed here and there and there were many more. There were a few weird planets that me and Sky had painted on the walls because Ryan insisted that is where FuFu or whatever he dreams of lives. There were sci-fi paintings as well. They were entertained by Mia.

“What shall we watch? I’m logging into Netflix”, Xander was typing the Netflix password that belongs to our school.

“How about ‘Earth To Echo’?”, I suggested, moving to the computer and clicking on the movie. The only reason we have a computer is to control the TV and Smartboard easily.

Me and Rachel thankfully had pillows packed in our bags. We had a nice relaxing time watching the movie and it was really good! Tears sprouted on Rachel's eye while watching it.

After the movie, we were all having a talk with nothing but school time fun and nasty things that happened.

“I just remembered! Hey, help us out with something please”, Rachel didn't leave an option no in her voice and she started digging her pockets for her smartphone and she pulled it out.

After scrolling and clicking, she placed the phone on the table and asked them if they have any clue on who they are. It was the pic of the YouTubers.

“I’ve seen the guy in YouTube once. But I can't remember...”, Xander ended sorrowfully.

Luke however, took the phone to his hand, scanning it up and down. I laughed in my mind. Luke and Xander are top students in our class but always tied with Rachel and Sky in 1st and 2nd rank. Xander sometimes slides to 3rd rank, tied with me or even fourth with Anne. I laughed at the thought.

“Lookie lookie!", Luke grinned, zooming the lady's spects. “If you take a closer look at the temples, you can read the brand. KITE designed in Britain. It means this lady's only recently bought her pair. She looks a bit Ireland so it could mean she came here for the holidays. You don't hafta go looking throughout the country. There is a KITE eyewear optician nearby where I got mine. I'll send you the location and save you guys an appointment with my doctor, Dr Sues. You can show her the picture and she'll give you the records of all the KITE eyewear shoppers. You know the rest!”

I and Rachel gaped at the guy. How in the world is he so immersed? Or maybe... Luke and Sky actually came from another planet.

“Wow... Okay... That was weird...”, I mumbled. “Thanks, dork!”, Rachel beamed. “Glad to be of assistance to brain-eating zombies”, he rolled his eyes.

“Hey! Rachel writes a story with zombies!”, I blurted. “Wait, really?”, Xander and Luke hoisted their brows in amusement. I glimpsed at Rachel before shaking my head. “Wow! Think you can lend it to us someday?”, they asked with a beaming face. Rachel shook her head violently, “Nooo! That’s embarrassing!”, she reddened and swivelled to me. “Liz writes a story too. War Zone: Arizata and The World of Blue Beauty”

“Really?”, they veered around to look at me. “Erm... Err... Er... Sky writes a story too? Quarizia: The Change of Fate”, I asserted nervously.

“Put simply, it’s a no!”, Rachel proclaimed. I nodded my head in commitment as we both drifted away from the two. We originated ourselves in a vacant classroom.

“Rachel, I wanna have some fun! Come on!”, I hauled her.

“That does it!”, Rachel barked. “I’m gonna get you a dictionary for Christmas this year”

     “Why?”, I raised a question.

“So you can look up ‘fun’”, she confessed. “I’m not sure you know what it means”

“You’re raining my parade”, I frowned. She ignored me.

Either way, she pursued beside me. “Our first halt is—”

“The cafeteria”, she ceased. “I know”

Just like every other day, we cowered into the cafeteria staff compartment and extorted four bags of food. I rehabilitated the fridge with a dead mouse.
