Hayami and the rest of her peers lined up in pairs behind a small track. Squinting her eyes, she could discern a small device up ahead parked by the finish line. She figured it was a mechanism meant to record their results after the 50-meter dash. Personally, this was Hayami's all-time favorite fitness test from her middle school days. Hayami always felt a sense of exhilaration after jogging, invariably one of the best mind-clearing workouts. She couldn't get enough of the adrenaline coursing through her veins.

Hayami observed Iida and Tsu line up at the starting line. She decided to cheer for both her new acquaintances, being unable to choose between one to root for. The robotic device up ahead began its countdown, the sound of a gunshot echoing when the lady's voice hit zero. Iida instantly activated the engine's engraved at the back of his leg, sprinting across the track. Iida's movements were robotic, much like his persona. However, the power emitted was an immense boost. Tsu was far behind him, hoping on all four limbs, which confirmed Hayami's speculation about the girl having an amphibian-like quirk.

Iida finished within 3.04 seconds, Tsu coming in at 5.58 seconds.

"Nice going you two!!!" Hayami cheered, giving a thumbs up.

Next up was Ochaco against a boy whom Hayami didn't know yet. He was an average-looking blond boy, except for the big tail that sprouted on his behind. Ochaco touched the pads of her fingertips together and then proceeded to pat her clothes and shoes. Hayami concluded that her quirk probably made objects lighter, though she was intrigued to know more about it. She slightly scolded herself for not asking about her quirk back in the changing room.

"Runners on your marks" the robot started,

"Ready... go!!"

Ochaco ran as fast as she could while the blonde male used his tail to get across. The blonde ended up getting 5.49 seconds while Ochaco got 7.15 seconds.

"Woohooo! Wait to go Ochaco!!!" Hayami praised.

Ochaco smiled, walking up to Hayami to return the high five she was offering.

"Thanks Hayami-chan!! I'm really glad, it's better than my junior high record!" Ochaco rubbed the back of her neck, flattered by the compliment.

When Hayami's gaze reverted, she saw Mina take off. She slid across the track with the acid ejecting from her feet. She was up against a blonde boy with violet eyes. Hayami couldn't help but compare the boy's looks to Tamaki Suoh from the manga Ouran Highschool Host Club. After all, the boy literally radiated sparkles. He turned his back to the track and shot off a powerful laser beam from the cumbersome belt wrapped around his waist. Mina ended up winning that race, as the Tamaki rip-off's laser died out halfway across the track.

When Mina returned, Hayami held her hand out for a fist bump. She then turned the violet eyed boy and patted his shoulder.

"That's a pretty cool quirk you got there!!"

The boy seemed to glow at Hayami's remark, a genuine smile spreading across his face.

"Thank you Mademoiselle~" the boy replied, striking a pose.

Hayami gasped, eyes sparkling at the boy's use of the french language.

"vous parlez aussi français ??" she spoke.
