~~~~Time Skip a Month~~~~
I look at Ned in disbelief, tears forming in my eyes. "What do you mean he's gone?" I ask my friend.
"He saw an alien spaceship and left the bus in the suit to go help your dad and others." Ned tries to explain as he rubs my back in comfort.
"I knew I should've gone on that trip, I would have been able to help."
Letting out a sigh, I turn on the TV as Ned sits on the couch next to me to see if Peter's tried to contact him.
"An unidentifiable spacecraft was spotted in New York today, accompanying it was Iron Man, Spider-Man and a few other heroes aiding them. All that we know is that Spider-Man and Iron Man have followed the craft into space, we will wait for their return."
"I need to find them." I say, standing up and placing my hands on my hips.
"No you don't young lady." Pepper says, walking into the room. "I need you to stay here and wait for your father."
"But-"
"No buts. I'm pretty sure Ned will agree that you're more useful here than in space. Your father knows what he's doing, he'll be fine."
Ned nods his head in agreement with Pepper.
"I know he'll be fine. I'm just worried about Peter." I admit.
"Oh sweetheart." Pepper envelops me into a hug. "Peter's a strong lad, I'm sure he'll be fine. Besides, Tony will probably never let him leave his sight."
"Thanks Pepper." I tighten the hug.
"No problem. I'm always going to be here for you."
I look up and over towards Ned. I open my right arm and pull him into the hug.
God I hope Pepper's right...
