28. Starting now

Mal pov:
Harry was still terrified.
Gina looked at us.
"I'll bring you to the cancer ward. You'll having a room for the time you'll be here."
Harry nodded and we followed Gina.
"Drop your bag here and I'll go preparing the treatment. I wasn't expecting you to return today since you were so nervous."
"Yea... I kinda convinced him." I said.
"Then he has a great girlfriend." Gina said and she left.
Harry sighed.
"No way back..." he whispered.
I stood next to him.
"I'm really proud of you that you're doing this."
"You are?"
"Yes."
He smiled for a mkment and then Gina came back.
"Okay, so there are two thing we could do."
"What are the options?" Harry asked.
"Taking the chemo with a IV or with a little thing in your arm where we'll do the injections in."
"So needles at both options..." Harry muttered.
"Gina, that tthin in his arm would be like a little box so you won't have to put the needle in his arm, right?" I asked.
"Yes, so I think that would be better for someone with a fear of needles."
I looked at Harry and he nodded.
He needed to sit down and Gina picked up thay box thing. It was small and ○ shaped.
"This can hurt a little." she said.
There was a small needle under that box thing and she did in in Harry's arm.
"Damm..." he said softly.
"Now we can give you the first part of the treatment. This week you'll get an injection everyday. Then three weeks not and then again a week. So you'll stay here for five weeks now." Gina said.
"Great..." Harry said.
Gina did the injection in that thing and Harry grinned.
"That's weird. I didn't even feel that."
"That's because of that little thing dear." Gina said with a smile.

Harry and I returned to his room.
"That wasn't too bad." he said.
"Again, I'm proud of you."
I kissed him kn his cheek and he smiled.
"Thank you for being here with me."
"Ofcourse. I told you that I'd be there for you."
"Yea."
I grinned.

(The girl voice is for Mal and the guy voice is for Harry, logic though but just sayin')

Harry grinned.
"You're the best girlfriend I could ever ask for."
And I kissed him.

Ben pov:
Carlos and Evie were helping me.
Carlos is fast with the computer and Evie is damm smart.
"I have no idea what you two are doing." Jay said.
I grinned.
"Me neither."
Evie's phone buzzed and she looked at it.
"It's from Mal. Harry just had his first treatment. It wasn't to bad, he said."
"That's good news!" Carlos said.
"Yea, good for him." Jay said.
Carlos and Evie went back to the computers.

"Carlos, we have turney training in a half hour." Jay said.
"I'm busy." he said.
So jay and I went to the training.

Harry pov:
"I got to go... I'll see you tomorrow." Mal said.
"Yea... See you tomorrow."
I kissed her cheek and she left.

It was like an hour later when Gina came by.
"How are you feeling?" she asked.
"Like I'm about to throw up..." I said.
"That's normal. The chemo has that as side effect. But it's not bad. Then you know that is should be working."
"Great..."
She walked at me.
"You know. For a guy with a fear for needles, you were pretty calm back there. Your girlfriend was really proud of you. I spoke with her before she left. She was relieved that you decided to take the treatment."
"Yea... Sounds like Mal..."
And then I threw up in the bucket next to the hospital bed.
"Throw it all out..." Gina said softly.
"Man, I hate this..." I muttered.
"I know... But you can't back out anymore. Once you started the treatment you need to tale it until you're out of cancer."
"Yea... I get that."
Gina looked at the hook and the pocket watch on the table next to me.
"Are these yours?"
"My dad's. Acctually... I kept them when he died..."
"I'm so sorry for you."
"It's okay. It's been three years ago by now."
She picked up the purple part of the necklace from the floor.
"I think you dropped something."
"Oh crap..."
She gave it back to me and I put it on.
"Your girlfriend wore the other part didn't she?"
"Yea, she does."
I held the part in my hand.
"It meant a lot to her. I gave it to her when I asked her to be my girlfriend."
"That's so sweet."
"Thanks..."
"You should take some rest. The first chemo is exchausting."
