With bit off pizza crusts, half-cleaned off chicken wing bones, and a slice of pizza left in the box, both men sat back against the couch feeling full as ticks.

Jeremy was using a toothpick while Trevor was just basically chilling and watching TV.

"Damn, I know I'm gone sleep good tonight," Trevor said, as he grinned.
"Why you say that?" Jeremy asked, as he sat and put the used toothpick in the wing bone box before he sat back on the couch with Trevor and rested his arm over the top of the couch behind Trevor's head and shoulders, while he smiled over at Trevor.
"Because," Trevor started. "I'm stuffed. In a few more hours, I'm about to give birth, take a nice hot shower, and lay down."

Jeremy couldn't help but laugh in disgust at the "give birth part".

"You could've kept that shit to yourself, homie," Jeremy said, as Trevor cackled.

"Aye, you asked," Trevor said, as he laughed

"Aye, you asked," Trevor said, as he laughed. "Plus it's gonna rain tonight."
"Oh shit, it is, huh?" Jeremy asked.
"Mhm, all night to be exact," Trevor said, honestly.
"Damn, I just hope the roads don't be slippery for the girls tomorrow," Jeremy said, honestly. "We need them here safe and sound. Ain't that right, T?"
"That's right, Jay," Trevor said, as he wasn't as enthusiastic, but he smiled nonetheless.

Then, they dapped each other up before they went back to watching TV.

That night, Jeremy was laying in his bed, tossing, and turning. He couldn't sleep a wink, and it was storming hard outside, as the lightning could be seen flashing, the thunder could be heard roaring, and the rain could be seen and heard sliding against the window. Usually in this type of weather, he would be sleep by now, but it just wasn't working for him, tonight.

Sitting up and tossing the hot cover off of his half naked body, he wondered why. He, also wondered if Trevor was asleep.

"Lucky motherfucker probably is knocked out, but let me go see," Jeremy said, as he stood from his bed, put on his pajama bottoms over his breifs, slipped on his house shoes and began heading out of his own bedroom.

Walking up the hall until he reached Trevor's door, Jeremy brought hand up and knocked on the door.

"T?" He called.

To his surprise, he heard a "come in, Jay!"

It wasn't in a sleepy or an exhausting tone, but it was in more of an up, wide awake tone. With that, Jeremy entered inside, and closed the door back behind him. Looking over at a frustrated looking, wide awake Trevor, who was sitting up in his bed, Jeremy couldn't help but laugh.

"T, what are you doing up?" He asked. "You couldn't sleep, either?"
"Man, hell nah," Trevor said, as he shook his head and blew air from his mouth while making Jeremy grin. "I don't know if it was that pizza or what, because I'm always gone in stormy weather. This? This ain't like me."
"Same here," Jeremy said, as he smiled and balled his lips up. "This is suppose to be the best sleep of my life right now."
"That's what I'm saying," Trevor said, as he sighed and looked up and over at his best friend for help.
