I was sleeping peacefully, dreaming about Matthew Gray Gubler asking me to marry him at our favourite spot in Paris, when it started to rain... only it was just me getting wet?

"Y/n," Matthew was speaking to me, well I think he was because his lips were moving but the voice coming out of his mouth wasn't his.
"Y/n wake up, you need to get ready."

"Mum?"

"If you don't wake up soon I'm leaving you behind."

My eyes shot open, aiming straight for the ceiling then bouncing around my brick walls with wallpaper slightly tearing off them. I peeked over to my alarm clock. Scrubbing my eyes harder. I brought the device to my face and squinted closer to the time clock.

"Mum, it's 4 am why are you up?"

"Hey you wanted to go to the ball, this is the time you get up at so you can be ready in time."

I moaned as I got out of bed, I'm not a morning person, never have been, never will be. I slip into my fuzzy bunny slippers and wrap my dressing gown around my roundish body. My eyes kept shooting daggers at the alarm clock hopeful that I could change the time just by glaring at it. I guess I'm not that skilled yet. I turn back around to look pleadingly at my mother but she just closed her eyes and pointed to my bedroom door whilst tuting at me.

Once I was in the bathroom I sat down on the toilet. Hopeful to get some peace so I could go back to sleep and gain some more shut eye.

I was out for at least three minutes before an incessant amount of ringing was going on behind me, I threw my arm behind me and grabbed the machine and dashed it at the door. "No fair mum!" I groaned as I rubbed my eyes, creating darker rings than the ones already there from the force. I slumped towards the tub and turned on the shower, almost falling in as the water came down.

I didn't take long in the shower, I quickly scrubbed myself clean with my lavender body wash and managed to squeeze in time to do a co-wash with my coconut and hibiscus shampoo and conditioner. I turned the shower off and wrapped a towel around my head and another around my body. Once I got back to my room I took the tub that was hidden underneath all the stuff scrambled on my desk. Opening the lid I took a whiff of it, it smelt like coco butter and almond oil, but it had so much sparkles coming away from it, mainly because I mixed in some highlighter so I could always be shining. I finished moisturising myself with the body cream and went towards my cupboard and took out the box which was holding my dress options. Vincent made me a dress and it was beautiful, I held them both out towards me, the one that my cousin conjured me was a forest green and gold embellishments on the top, it was a off the shoulder ball gown fit, with a corset string tie up in the back, I wanted to wear it but the red dress kept calling out to me, if Hope or her uncle Elijah hadn't got me that dress I would've worn the green one in a heartbeat, but I just couldn't get the red one out of my mind.

I slipped into the strapless dress and zipped up the back using a hanger and some string, I smoothed down the skirt and looked at myself in the mirror... I almost looked like a princess, I've never worn anything so extravagant before.   I picked up the boxes that held the mask and the shoes and walked down the stairs only to find my mother and two women had turned our living room into a salon. "Oh... my, you look beautiful baby," mum gushed towards me as I reached the bottom steps, she held my hand and made me twirl around so she could get a better look at the dress, "come, this is Cristina, she's going to do your hair and Vivian is going to do your makeup."

"Hi" thank god mum hired someone to do this for me because I can not do my own hair and makeup to save my life. I sat down in a chair as Cristina was putting all sorts of products in my head to tame my wild hair. In the end she slicked my hair up into a bun with my curls dangling out of the ends and brushed some of my hair back and clipped it to the back of my bun so it looked like I had a side fringe. She held a mirror up to me, seeking my approval, I told her I loved it never having done this style before it was so sleek and simple. Next was Vivian, she told me she wanted to give me full glam to go with my dress but still youthful and playful, I had to have my eyes closed so I couldn't exactly see what she was doing, I felt a lot of brushes tapping and stroking across my skin, it was so relaxing I was tempted at going back to sleep. Half an hour later and she was finished, I couldn't exactly see with a mirror so she took a photo on her phone and showed me, I had a smokey eyeshadow look with red glitter in the crease of my eye, my foundation was quite matte but I could still see some of my freckles underneath the pink blush and gold highlighter  all finished off with a red lip. I couldn't stop looking at myself, this was a first for me and honestly... I kinda loved it.
