Hope opened the door to a wide spaced bedroom, I walked in first circling the room, admiring the bookcases that filled the room as I strum my fingers along their spines, I spin round to face Hope "Okay so I don't hate this room." I walk over to the window and watch the pedestrians below. "Hope I still don't know how I feel about this."
"It's going to be awkward but believe me once that's over it's going to be okay." Hope keeps trying to reassure me, and I know I should give it a try, but I'm just so disappointed.
"They've uhm, been quiet too long, let's go downstairs and see what they're doing," I mutter as I walk out the door. "What do you know about this curse?"
"Not a lot, just that us being Tribrids can either unite the three factions or destroy them." Hope calmly tells me as we walk into the kitchen.
"Okay," I say with a sharp inhale.
Everyone stops talking and stares at us blankly, I walk over to the table and sit down, "So...destroying factions huh, sounds fun." No one says anything. Surprise, surprise. "So did the grown ups come up with any new ideas or what?"
"Y/n what have we talked about with your sarcasm?" Mum interjected
"Nothing. Does this mean we have to change my birth certificate?" I laugh, looking at them all, "look I was already thinking about changing it." I sigh whilst tapping my fingers against the table. "Look it's been a stressful day and there is a lot of tension in the room right now, sarcasm is the only way I can ease my nerves."
"Baby, as we told you before you'll be staying here and practice controlling your powers with Hope and Freya, then when you're ready you'll go to the Salvator house boarding school in mystic falls." Mum added.
"I'm sorry what?" I exclaim eyes opening wide... did she just say boarding school? "So you're telling me you're sending me off here? then sending me to boarding school?" I scratch my head and look around at everyone. "I-I-I'm sorry when did you discover that you hated me?" I stammer.
"I don't hate you baby it's just that school will help you control your powers."
"If it helps I go there...it's kinda cool." Hope added
"It doesn't." I bluntly responded, seeing Hopes cheerful smile quickly fade, maybe I was a bit too harsh, she was just trying to make me feel more comfortable about the situation, I could at least be a bit more grateful about that..."please tell me there's no uniform." I smile pleadingly to hope but she only diverts eye contact with me to the floor. "Oh great just great, I leave one school uniform just to get another."
Mum walks over to me and rubs my face gently with her hands, just like she used to when I was a baby, "look sweetie its going to be fine, everything will work itself out, this is only temporary, then you'll be back home with me like it always should be."
"Promise?"
"Cross my heart" mum responds whilst crossing her heart
"I don't know if I should feel insulted or not?" Klaus chimed from the back of the room. He started walking over until he stood behind me "Don't worry love, I'll take great care of our daughter." He promised her as he roughly patted my back.
Hurt much? I shrug his arm off and get up from the table, "I'm hungry, I've only had a cheeseburger today and that was terrible."
"Want me to get you a cheese pizza with guacamole on it?" Mum offered.
"No it's alright, I can get it, besides the fresh air will do me some good. Hope you wanna come with?" Hope nods and starts moving for the door. "Uhm actually can I take you up on that offer to change... this might be too awkward to walk in on the street..." I point to the red ballgown that I was still wearing.
