Request: Joseph x Fem!Reader - Joseph and R (Reader) look back on an entire year together. Maybe Joseph keeps a photo album of his favorite pictures of him and R and they look back through it together?

You were back at the manor, exhausted from a long day. Your boyfriend, Joseph, sat next to you on the bed, hand resting on your thigh as he got out an old photo album. The cover was a matte white color, decorated with frilly white lace and your names scrolled in golden paint across the front. It was your one year anniversary, and after a fancy dinner and beautiful photoshoot, the two of you were ready to reflect back on the year you'd been together.

The first pages were from memories long ago; ones that you could vaguely remember without prompting and ones where both of you were flustered dorks every time you saw one another. One picture was of you in your favorite sundress, holding onto him with a small smile on your face. His cheeks were all pink as he held you, flustered from being close to his new girlfriend. That was the day he first asked you out. Another was not nearly as perfect; it'd been taken by as friend who wasn't nearly as well-adjusted to cameras as Joseph was. The two of you were in your best clothes, dancing in the middle of a ballroom. It'd been your second date and the first time he called you beautiful.

More and more memories and pictures came as time went on. The two of you were much closer in the more recent photographs; nerves had been washed away and replaced with love. There was a picture of your first kiss; both your faces were bright red as you held onto one another. There was a another of the two of you at the dinner table during your 6th month anniversary. He'd ordered a special cake for the two of you to share, and his normally stoic and mature attitude was completely forgotten about as he put frosting on your nose with a cheeky grin. There was even one when you got your first pet together. His name was Bubbles, and he was the goldfish currently snoozing in the tank on Joseph's bedside table.

In your most recent pictures, you recognized yourself as the happiest woman you've ever been. On your lips in every picture was a genuine, beaming smile; there was no "faking it" for the camera. Your face reflected how you felt on the inside, and it shone out of you like beams of sunlight. Joseph, too, seemed to be much happier than normal. Though he maintained his professional, serious expression in most of them, there were moments where the corners of his mouth would twitch up into a smile, too. He couldn't help it; your happiness rubbed off on him every time he stood beside you.

There was a picture of you shyly holding up a drawing of him, blushing from the embarrassment of being caught. His hand was formed into a thumbs up to show his approval. You were never fond of your art and didn't really believe it was great, but Joseph was always supportive of everything that you did. Whenever you'd protest, he'd say that getting encouragement was something that helped him with his photography, so he wanted to help you, too. There was another picture of you attempting to paint over a wall in your new apartment. There was paint everywhere, including on your face and clothes, and you posed playfully to the camera with your hands covered in blue splotches.

As you finished reflecting on old memories, Joseph closed the album and put it away into a chest nearby. He brought out another album, this one blank, and smiled. "To another year," He replied with a soft smile.

"To another year," You agreed.
