You walked into the manor, collapsing on your bed with a soft sigh. You'd been outside in the garden for the majority of the day, tending to the plants that grew deep within the foliage. You honestly weren't deeply into the idea of gardening, but you weren't going to let the flowers wilt and die from neglect. Besides, nobody else seemed to care about them, so it was nice to escape the tense environment of being around everyone. They always made you uncomfortable.

You were an introvert even in childhood, and you didn't really like the people you were forced to dorm with while waiting for the chance of your lifetime. The manor was going to be your ticket to a new life, and you were excited to possibly be the winner of the prize. Getting too close to the other survivors would make you feel bad about being the winner.

There was one person, however, that had peaked your interest ever since you'd first arrived. He wore a long, navy blue cloak and kept a blindfold over his eyes. His name was Eli Clark, and he was known to many as the seer. His pet owl could always be seen resting on his shoulder, and he didn't have a tendency to talk much. You were no exception. Though you never got to know him very well, his mysterious aura drew you in, and you wanted to learn more about him. However, shyness always seemed to overtake you when you tried to approach him. Just looking at him sent butterflies to your stomach.

Today was the day that things would change. You were startled when you heard a knock rapping out from the hallway. At first, you assumed that someone else was getting a late night visitor, but you quickly realized that wasn't the case. The sound seemed to be coming from your own door. Begrudgingly, you slid off your bed and onto your feet. "Hold on," You called out groggily, slipping on a robe over your pajamas. You got two white slippers onto your feet, and you opened the door, hoping that whoever was there would be there for just a little while. You found yourself facing none other than Eli himself.

"Oh, it's you--! What are you doing here?" You questioned, glancing back and forth around the hallway. The boy seemed a bit annoyed and pushed past you, sitting down on your bed. His owl was asleep on his shoulder, and he himself seemed to have his hair ruffled from laying in bed. What could he possibly need from you at such an hour..?

"I had a dream," He started, "But I believe it could be a premonition. It was about you."

"Me?" You questioned, sitting down beside him, "What kind of a dream was it?"

"It wasn't a bad dream," Eli admitted, "Nor a particularly pleasant one. I remember being.. Tired. Worn out. There was something about the manor not being as we thought it was, but the two of us had escaped whatever had been waiting for us. You were laying next to me, and we were watching the stars and reflecting on the journey. And then.. You kissed me. And I woke up."

You felt your face burning. "What kind of a kiss was it-? I mean, do you remember anything about it? Or, ah, sorry. That was a really stupid question." There was so much more to discuss, and you were concerned about how the kiss was?? You felt stupid for even asking him.

Eli didn't seem to register that it was a stupid question, though. In fact, he even seemed to be focused on that part as well. Instead of freaking out or saying you're a moron, he seemed amused by your question. "I'm not sure," He cooed with a cheeky grin, "But you could always show me now, and I could judge it. After all.. It's going to happen eventually, right? I saw it happen myself. Our future was written in the stars."
