It took a three hour walk, but you made it back to the Oasis. You were tired and thirsty throughout the trip, but nothing was going to stop you from making it back.
A guard on the tower noticed you. He called out to the other guards below.
Guard: It's the Chancellor! Open the gates!
The gates started to open, and two guards came out to help you inside. You waved them off.
You: I'm fine. Just take me to the conference center.
The guards nodded, and walked you over to a car. You drove over to the conference center, and entered the building. You turned to the guard.
You: Tell Clementine I'm here. Lee and Louis too.
Guard: They're actually inside the conference room, sir.
You nodded, and walked in. The three of them turned to the door, and were surprised to see you.
Clementine: Oh my god.
Clementine ran over and hugged you. Louis smiles along with his uncle.
Louis: Jesus, man. You look like shit.
You chucked as you left Clementine's embrace.
You: Thanks, buddy.
Lee: You good? What happened??
You: I went to the Hilltop. The treated my wound and I stayed there for a bit.
You lifted up your shirt, showing the bandage covering the arrow wound.
Clementine: Christ...what'd they do?
You: An arrow to the side. I'm fine now, nothing to worry about.
You lower your shirt, and continue speaking.
You: I got caught up in some things on the way here. My car got totaled.
Lee: Glad to see you back in one piece, Y/N.
You nod, then remember Rebecca.
You: Rebecca...the baby? What happened?
Clementine smiles.
Clementine: The baby is fine.
Your eyes light up. Thank god for some good news.
You: Good.
Clementine: You want to go see him?
You smile.

You and Clementine were at a small office building that used to be a family readiness center at the base. It now served as a day care center.
There, you saw AJ in a room sleeping in his cradle. You smile as you look down at him.
You: Wow, he's beautiful.
Clementine: My eyes light up every-time I see him.
Clementine slightly frowns.
Clementine: If only Rebecca got to see him.
You place your hand on top of hers, which was resting on the edge of the cradle.
You: You know she is. She'll always be watching him.
Her frown turns into a slight smile once more.
The both of you keep looking at AJ. You choose to bring up what had transpired earlier that day.
You: I went after Negan. I tried to kill him.
Clementine turned to you.
Clementine: What?
You: We fought a few miles from here. He got away.
You sighed.
You: I wanted to get it over with...maybe the war would've been over if I killed him. I don't know.
Clementine points at your wound.
Clementine: Did he give you that?
You: No. We just got a few hits in.
Clementine takes a breath.
Clementine: Trying to go after Negan yourself was risky. If he would've killed you...
You: You don't need to worry. I can handle myself.
Clementine: Still. We need you alive, Y/N. I need you alive.
You nod, and look at AJ again. You need to be there for the community, Clementine, and AJ.
You smirk.
You: You ever thought of having a kid? Maybe a sibling for a AJ?
Clementine chuckles.
Clementine: Really?
You: I mean...not right now. But in the future.
Clementine: Let me get used to being a mom before I decide to have one of my own.
You chuckle.
You: Yeah, I gotta ask Rick for some dad tips.
