CHAPTER 13

Coronation Night

It's almost time for the Coronation Night. My family and the others arrived exactly on time. The make-up artist are doing my makeup while Ate Amy are fixing my hair. My gown is beside me. They even brought the mannequin!

"You're so beautiful!" Mommy said and I smiled at her.

"Ready ka na ba sa Q&A?" tanong ni Sam.

"I don't know. I'll just answer what I think is correct" paliwanag ko at tumango naman siya.

They continued fixing my hair and face. My hairstyle is a low messy bun. Ate Amy left a bit of hair on both sides of my face. It looks beautiful! My glittery rose gold eyeshadow is partnered with my gray contact lenses and my lips are coated with a matte nude lipstick. Mommy added some accesories to complete my look.

"And you're done! You look like a goddess!" my make up artist said.

"Syempre! That's my daughter!" Mommy added.

"Ang ganda mo talaga!" hinawakan ni Sam ang mukha ko. Tumawa nalang ako sakanya.

"Panget naman e" asar ni Kuya sa akin. Pinalo naman siya ni Ate Amy.

"Umayos ka nga! You look beautiful darling" singit ni Daddy at hinalikan ako sa noo.

"Grabe ibang iba yung mukha mo Andrea" aniya ni Russ. "You look more beautiful" ngumit ako sakanya.

"Thank you! I promise that I'll do my best later!" nginitian naman ako ng lahat.

The organizers said that we have to wear a silver dress for the opening. I picked this strap silver dress paired with my silver stilletos. I'm all done so we decided to go to the venue.

"Go Go Go Go Go ANDREA!" naglalakad palang kami ay sumisigaw na sila Sam kaya naman pinagtitinginan kami.

"Your friends are so supportive" Kuya whispered to me. Pinapaypayan niya ako para hindi ako mapawisan.

"I know right. That's why I love them" sagot ko sakanya.

"May gusto ba sayo si Russ?" napalingon ako sakanya. "Iba ang tingin sa'yo e" umiling naman ako kaagad sakanya.

We arrived at the Auditorium and I saw how beautiful the stage are! Iniwan ko na sila at dumiretso na ako sa backstage kasama si Ate Amy at ang makeup artist. Nakita kong inaayusan si Katana.

"OMG! You are so beautiful" she hugged me and I hugged her back.

"Same to you" I added.

Dumiretso na ako sa pwesto ko at umupo na muna. They gave me my number and it's number 3. The organizers gave further instructions and I listened to them. Naririnig ko na ang sigawan sa labas at kinakabahan na ako dahil madaming nanonood.

"You can do it Andrea!" I smiled at Ate Amy and they retouched my makeup.

"Good Evening to all of you! Welcome to the Coronation Night of Ms Intramural!" narinig kong sigaw ng emcee. "Today is the day in which we can see how beautiful and smart our candidates are. Right my partner?"

"You are right partner! Many students and parents are here to watch. So what are we waiting for? Let's start this pageant!" sigaw pa ng isang emcee at tumunog na ang background music.

"Okay, you can do this! Tandaan mo ang mga turo ko sa'yo!" tumango ako kay Ate Amy at tumayo na.

I am nervous! I don't know if I can win this Pageant but I will do my best. Sabay sabay kami lalabas at gagawin ang itinuro sa amin bago magpakilala.

"Let's all welcome our candidates!" everyone cheered for us.

We walked down the runway and I focus only on my walk. I looked through the judges and gave them a smile. When I reached the end of the runway, I strike a pose and everyone cheered for me. I stand in front of the microphone and wait for my turn.
