CHAPTER 7

Jungkook was mad.

Yes he was definitely mad at Diya.But more than being mad, he was scared and worried about his daughter.

Diya told jungkook each and every single detail about how she met the stranger and how she ended up spending the whole week with him.

Jungkook was shocked to hear that a whole week his daughter was spending her evenings with a complete stranger who can be harmful for their family. He felt defeated. Where did he go wrong?.. Wasn't he a good father to know his girl's actions?

More than anything he felt hurt that his own daughter lied to him everyday with an excuse of playing in the park with other kids. He didn't want to yell at Diya, so instead he chose to keep his mouth shut giving silent treatment to his own daughter.

He didn't talk to Diya the whole morning, instead he just made her breakfast and made her ready for her daycare. Diya kept  saying sorry's to her appa. But nothing made him break his silence. He just dropped her at the day care and went back to his cafe.

No one can blame him for being like this, because only he knows how much terrified he is inside.

From the age of 20 he has been trying to be strong for his daughter to protect her from this cruel world. But deep down he is still a very fragile and soft being. He too needs protection and care, while all he have is the undying trauma from his past.

He is 24/7 cautious about his daughter as if he is being watched constantly, as it something bad is going to happen. So when he heard about the stranger, his anxiety got its best in action.

He is worried if the stranger is somehow related to his past or not.

The day in the cafe was not pleasant for jungkook who constantly kept thinking about his daughter and the unknown person she met for almost a week. He was having trouble in attending the customers and Jin was observing this as well.

Yoongi went out with a friend for some musical stuff and Jin had to handle the extra pressure of customera. So he decided not to pest his younger brother at the moment on what is conserning him. He kept the thought for evening and both of them went on with their works. When it was time for picking up Diya, Jungkook said a quick bye to Jin and left the cafe.

Jungkook watched a very gloomy Diya coming out of the daycare building towards their car. He knew the reason behind the sad face and he himself felt a bit hurt for seeing his baby girl this moody. But he cannot talk to her as if nothing happened and he is afraid of venting out his anger on his daughter.

Even if he tried to explain the girl, she cannot be told the exact reason why her appa is this much worried over a portrait. So like the morning he kept his silence on. When Diya got to the door, he opened the door for the girl and tucked her in the seat with seat belts on. Without much delay he started the engine and drove off to the cafe.

"appa"

Jungkook heard the voice even though it was too low. But he kept on driving and focusing on the door. The girl was on the verge of tears and jungkook could sense it from the corner of his eyes. But he needed time as well to make her understand.

"appa... I am sorry.." Diya said with a sniffle, hanging her head as low as possible, while fidgeting her fingers on her lap.

By this time jungkook really wanted to scoop his little one to his chest and hug her tightly. He wanted to kiss her all over the face. But he knew it would end up in a breakdown from his side and then it might even terrify his daughter. So he kept on giving the attitude of being mad at her than showing how broken her superhero is.
