*Whelp, TBH this is it. Kinda rushed probably, but there will be an epilogue. I'll write it up tomorrow since it is like 5:23am and I've been writing for the last 8 hours. I've written the last three chapters all tonight and it's basically summed up everything. Everything it hasn't I will be doing in the epilogue which I already have planned out since finishing this chapter. Sorry for taking forever to finish this book. To be honest, it was supposed to be a lot longer than this, but I just don't feel that connected to it anymore. I still adore Klance, but I don't believe it's a ship I'm that good at writing and I think that's why it took me so long to finish this book. I will be returning to work on one of my other books though, since it is a fandom and a ship I adore and it just feels right to me to continue writing for it. But please, enjoy the end of this, and the epilogue will be up at some point in the next 24 hours.*

Chapter 17: The Final Night

The next night

"Hey Spidey, do you think what Pidge said was right?" Deadpool mumbled as he sat down next to Spiderman on the ledge of the zone.

The zone was the area of town they knew Jack the Ripper was hiding in. It was the place they had spent the last week working and working on narrowing down and they were finally so close to catching him. It was either tonight, or soon.

"About what?" Spidey replied, turning to face his boyfriend, eyes narrowing and scanning over the land of defunct houses and warehouses.

"You going off the deep end about all this. I don't think you are, but that's me. But this is Deadpool speaking. If I had to speaking for Lance watching his boyfriend work, I think he'd be a little worried you were losing yourself to get revenge for your Mum." Spiderman sighed, leaning into Deadpool.

"I need to catch him, Pooly. You might have missed the report, but he's killed someone else this week. One more body and he's out of town, we've missed our chance. We are so close, but Pidge is right. This isn't about me getting revenge for Mum anymore. This is about avenging every family he has done wrong and helping them get the peace they deserve. We need to catch him and hand him over to the Mayor directly. So, the Mayor knows we caught him. Then once he is in police custody, and transported out and into jail, we do everything we possibly can to pump out the police and clean it. Bring in people from out of town. I don't wanna be a cop, but we need to fix things here." Deadpool nodded.

"Good to know my partner is hunting with a clear mind and a solid plan. But I don't think we should split up tonight." Spiderman went to argue when Deadpool continued. "We are too close and it's obvious how strong and smart this guy is. We don't even know if he knows about us. Too bad the only thing that could probably kill me is a vat of acid." Deadpool jokes, standing up, tugging Spiderman up into his arms, kissing him through their masks.

"You're going to hold that joke against me for the rest of our lives, aren't you?" Deadpool chuckled, rubbing his nose against Spiderman's before pulling away.

"You'll find out. Now, no school tomorrow so we got time." Deadpool states. Spiderman smirks from under his mask.

"We either finish this tonight. Or tomorrow." Spiderman turns to stare at Deadpool.

"No matter what—" Deadpool turns to stare at Spiderman.

"We finish this."

*

"That marks half the zone." Deadpool states, crossing off the electronic map on his phone, moving to stand beside Spiderman. "All we've found is druggies getting high and squatters looking for somewhere to crash since it was mostly the houses." Spiderman sighs, rubbing at his wrists, a dull ache throbbing in them.
