The young team spent the rest of the day hanging out in the library trying to get work done and horribly failing.

"Hey bird-man, twenty bucks says you can't hit that clock over there." Bucky said, pointing to the clock on the wall.

Clint just smirked. "What do I hit it with?"

"Tasha's hair tie." Bucky said.

Natasha sighed and handed Clint a hair tie, curious to see if he could actually hit it.

Clint shot the elastic and hit the clock right in the center.

"Nice." Bucky said and gave him a fist bump. "What about that clock?" He asked, pointing to the one above the librarian's head.

"Only if Tash has another hair band." Clint said.

Natasha gave Clint another and the group watched as Clint hit the clock, ducking their heads down and pretending to do work when the librarian looked around.

"We're gonna get kicked out if you guys keep doing that." Steve said while trying not to laugh.

"You're just saying that because you're trying to set a good example." Bruce said.

"Come on, Captain. Have some fun." Thor spoke up.

"I am having fun." Steve argued.

"Okay." Loki said. "I dare you to steal something from a teacher's office."

"I'm not doing that." Steve said.

"Just a Post-it or something. You'll be fine."

"I could still get in trouble."

"Take Stark with you."

"What? No, Tony doesn't want to do that."

"Actually, I do." Tony spoke up.

"Are you serious?" Steve asked.

"Pierce is an asshole. In fact, screw it." Tony said and stood up. "I'm taking a Post-it from him whether you come or not."

Loki just leaned back in his chair, proud of himself.

"Wait no, you can't just-"

"Coming, Cap?" Tony asked and walked out of the library.

Steve ran after him.

"Tony, you don't have to prove anything-"

"I'm not. You need to live a little, Capsicle."

Steve sighed. There was no talking Tony out of something once he had decided he was going to do it, so Steve might as well tag along and try to keep his friend out of trouble.

"We got the rest of today off because the teachers are having a meeting to talk about the attacks, so Pierce won't be in his office for the next hour." Tony explained.

"His office is probably locked."

Tony tried the door handle and it was, in fact, locked.

Tony pulled a screwdriver out of his pocket.

"You just carry around a screwdriver now?" Steve asked.

"After what happened in the elevator? Hell yes. Now keep lookout."

Steve nervously looked around the hallway while Tony picked the lock.

"Got it." Tony said, pushing open the door.

The two walked into the room and poked around the desk.

"This guy's so messy." Tony commented.
