Hey there, this was just an idea I had. I had wanted to include Lizzie's paternal side of the family, so her grandparents from her birth dad's side. So, here it is.

"Oliver, I just got off the phone with someone. It was regarding Elizabeth," Moira walks out onto the deck. She goes and sits next to him on a chair while watching Lizzie swim with Thea. At her statement, Oliver turns to face her, his face shows curiosity and guard. He tried to remain neutral.
"Hmm?" he hummed to her.
"It was Elizabeth's grandparents, her birth grandparents from her father's side. They would like to meet her," Moira says, Oliver, nodding along. He then turns to look at Lizzie as she plays in the water. His mind flashes quickly when he helped her swim away from the ship. "I told them that they could come over on Saturday."
"What?" Oliver stares at his mother.
"I know, I know. But I think that Elizabeth should meet her birth family. You are still her father," Moira tells him. Oliver closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself.
"Of course. I will tell her tonight as I put her to bed," Oliver sayss before getting up and going into the pool with his daughter and sister. Moira stares at her son and daughter. They both have smile on there faces as they play with the little girl.
"Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Lawson?" Oliver says, opening the door to Lizzie's grandparents. They give a soft smile. "Hi, I'm Oliver Queen."
"Yes. And please, call us Annie and Simon," Annie tells him.
"Oh, please come in. Lizzie is in the kitchen with Raisa baking some brownies for you, they are her favorite. Well, one of her favorites," Oliver says, letting them in. They smile as they follow him to the living room. "I wanted to say that I am sorry for the loss of your son and daughter-in-law."
"It's okay. It's not your fault that the boat broke," Simon says. The two have made peace with their death a long time ago. They new it couldn't have been Oliver's fault, and besides. He is the new father of their granddaughter. Moira hears this as she is about to walk into the room and stops, she knows the reason. She hates it.
"And besides, we both lost people that day," Annie adds. Oliver felt a sense of peace wash over him. Like a small weight was lifted off of his chest. Moira walked in a short time after, a smile on her face.
"Hi, I'm Moira Queen," she says, going to sit next to her son.
"Hello, Mrs. Queen," Simon says.
"Please, call me Moira. After all if my son is going to adopt your granddaughter then we will be family," Moira says. The two grandparents nodded in understanding.
"Oliver, since you are going to adopt Ellie," Annie says, Ellie was the nickname their family gave her. But Lizzie worked just fine. "We wanted to ask, could we visit her? We just wanted to know us and she has an aunt and uncle on from her mother and fathers side. We just thought it would be good for her to meet her birth family."
"Of course, I will have to think about it," Oliver says with smile. He didn't really want his daughter to meet her family, he was scared that they would think him not fit to be her father and try to take her away, but he knew deep down that that wouldn't happen. It still scared him. "But I think it would be good Idea to have her know who her birth parents were," he says slowly, thinking it over. Simon gives a soft smile.
"It's no pressure. We just want to know our granddaughter," Simon adds. Before anyone could continue on, Raisa walks in with a tray of freshly baked brownies and shy 7 year-old who quickly ran to her father and buried her head in his chest. Peaking over at the two elderly couple who gave a small, heartwarming smile.
"Annie, Simon, this is your granddaughter Lizzie," Oliver says, stroking her hair and trying to coax her to look at them. She looked at them once more before turning back quickly when she saw that they were looking at her. "Liz, come on," Oliver says softly.
"Ar-are yo-you going to-to tak-take me away fr-from Papa?" she asked in a shy, small voice after Raisa put the plate of brownies on the coffee table and left. The question shocked the two families, quickly shaking out of their stupor, Annie spoke first.
"No, sweetie," she said softly. Lizzie turned around slowly, staring at them
"Really?" she asked.
"No," Simon tells her. Lizzie smiled and jumped off of her fathers lap before going to the table and grabbing the plate and quickly handing it over to her grandparents.
"Here. Can-can yo-you try-try them? Ar-are they go-good?" she asked as they grabbed one. The tried it and smiled in delight.
"They are wonderful," Annie says, Simon agreeing by taking another bite.
"Yay! Me-me an-and Miss Rai-Raisa ma-made the-them. I us-usually ma-make the-them wi-with Gran-grandmama, bu-but sh-she wan-wanted to me-meet yo-you. So-so I ma-made th-them wi-with Miss Rai-Riasa," Lizzie said, shocking Moira. Lizzie has never called her grandma. She had to say, she liked it. The group started to talk about things that Lizie liked, what she likes to do. Simon and Annie watched at how close Oliver and Lizzie were, they knew he would be good for her, despite his past.
