YOUR FIRST LOVE IS YOUR FUTURE
How do you overcome the uncertainties of loving someone so deeply?
Is your first love the person you're meant to spend forever with-or the heartbreak you'll carry into your future?
For Rainier and Alexine, love begins...
He would finally be meeting Alexine at Zamora's white mansion.
He had been awake before the sun completely rose, unable to sleep properly. The thought of seeing her again had been enough to keep him restless the entire night. His mind kept replaying the memories of the first time they met—the bus, her quiet voice, her innocent smile, and the way she had somehow stayed in his thoughts even after months had passed.
This morning, he was finally going to see her.
But he waited.
And waited.
She did not arrive.
The excitement in his chest slowly turned into disappointment.
He had been looking forward to this day for so long.
Meanwhile, back at the treehouse, the boys were slowly waking up.
"Where is Rainier?"
"Did he get to eat breakfast without us? How selfish."
Marco and Floyd talked while Kristee and Jun were still asleep.
Rainier had gone back to the treehouse and sat at the wooden table beside the lake.
The morning was quiet.
The mist was still floating above the water, slowly disappearing as the sunlight touched the surface. Birds were singing somewhere in the trees, while the occasional sound of insects filled the air. The whole place looked almost unreal compared to the busy city they were used to.
Rainier brought cocoa bars with him and boiled water at the cooking area of the treehouse.
He was quietly preparing breakfast for everyone.
"You're having hot choco alone, Rain."
Floyd approached him, still looking sleepy.
"I brought the cocoa bars and bread for our breakfast. Also prepared the hot water for you."
"I'm amazed, bro. I think I'm falling in love with you."
Marco teased Rainier as he approached the table.
Rainier barely smiled.
"You're so dramatic."
Kristee overheard them.
She was already awake, quietly fixing her hair near the doorway of the treehouse.
She smiled to herself.
For some reason, seeing Rainier preparing breakfast made her remember the previous night.
