Hikaru and I woke up on the couch as Tamaki ran through the house after a tiny Pomeranian yelling, "Princess Peanut peed in my shoe!"
Hunni ran after them telling Tamaki to stay away from the small dog while Kyoya yelled from the kitchen for Tamaki to remain calm as he was rich and could buy new shoes. Tamaki cried out, complaining he didn't want to break into yet another pair of Gucci sandals. Kaoru stumbled through next with a coffee mug in hand, glancing to Hikaru and I, and I swear I saw him smile.
I looked to the massive and unnecessary clock on the wall announcing it was past two pm. I jumped up from the couch were we had been entangled, tripping over Mason who had fallen off the other couch were Lily and Amythist slept, and yelled out into the open, complaining that no one woke us up. My three LA friends groaning about their hangovers. Hikaru carefully stepped over Mason and told me it was okay, as he saw that I was about to step foot into panic mode.
In that moment, my Mom ran through telling us hurry up and eat from the buffet because the pamperers were arriving soon. As Hikaru attempted to exit she grabbed him and glared, "I hope you're being safe with her." She tried her best to stay stern and motherly, making Hikaru turn bright red until she laughed it off and ruffled his hair, telling him she'd kill him if he tried anything. He stared at me as my Mom sauntered off and all I could do was laugh.
I grabbed coffee and a single waffle, trying to eat it slowly as my stomach churned with nerves. Hikaru joined the other Host's as they talked about various things, Tamaki worrying about Haruhi, and also all discussing the plan once more. I sat by Eileen and my Dad at the head of the table, as we had grown closer again over the last week when it was all hands on deck to save my life.
"The dinner was all okay?" I asked.
"They didn't suspect a thing," Eileen smiled at me, scraping her fork against her plate as she scooped, making my Dad wince.
"We don't know that," my Dad sighed, jiggling his knee under the table, which was visible as the table top was glass.
"They asked how Rin was doing back in Japan after hearing about her sensitive state! I'm pretty sure that shows they believe everything we've told them!" Eileen restlessly sighed.
"How about you, Alex? Everything set? Your guy's still coming right?"
"Of course, he owes me that much," Alex sighed.
"I know that finding out that your FBI boyfriend selling information isn't the best, but like, if he didn't then we wouldn't have what could save my life. I think you could take him back for that," I told him with a smile.
Alex glared at me, "I'll be the judge of that. Keep your nose out of it." He pushed me playfully away.
It was nice to be around my entire family who were all getting along. If the situation wasn't what it was, then it would have been perfect, and I could've formally introduced Hikaru as my boyfriend. As this was Tamaki and Kyoya's last year in High School, we weren't sure what was happening with the Host Club, so we all discussed the possibility of publicly outing Hikaru and I. We were waiting to see whether I'd die this very day before making that decision.
"They're here!" My mom squealed running through the house. She shoved a green smoothie in front of me and almost force fed me.
"You know this isn't exactly a real Premier?" I tried to tell her, "Why do we have to do the same big routine?"
She stopped me right in my tracks, "The entire world is talking about Kato Taylor's exclusive new film! Something I actually feature in with my daughter! Its so exclusive people are coming up with all sorts and digging into our pasts again. If we, or I, don't look good on that red carpet they could come up with anything in those Magazines! You're inviting real journalists and paparazzi! They need to know I'm back and better than ever, Rin! You can't deny me that!"
