Text messages between Mary and Skylar
Mary- you're gonna hate me for this... x
Skylar- what have you done? X
Mary- do you know how I'm friends with the popular kids? X
Skylar- yeah... x
Mary- well they invited me to a party and I kind of said I would bring you and Ben and Lucas... the boys are fine with it it's just you x
Skylar- wtf Mary! X
Mary- they're nice they wanted to get you out of your comfort zone in hopes to help you... you know... feel comfortable speaking again x
Skylar- fine! I'll go but you owe me one and I don't think anyone is gonna help me speak guess it's worth a try x
Mary- yay! It's this Saturday I'll come to yours and get ready x
Skylar- you're so lucky that my dad isn't strict and will do anything for me to speak and socialise again x
Mary- I'll stop by at 4 the party starts at 8 x
Skylar- okay well we have 3 days so I guess we better plan our outfits x
Mary- I've got it sorted I'm making you over and dressing you up x
Skylar- oh god okay x
Mary- yay! See you at school tomorrow x

*the next day in the school grounds*
Ben- yo Sky!
*Sky waves*
Ben- you coming to this party with us Saturday?
*she nods*
Ben- good *he smiles* it's nice to see you out of your comfort zone a little bit *he hugs her*
Lucas- what'd I miss?
Ben- Sky agreed to come to this party Mary invited us too a Saturday
Lucas- wait really? Well done Sky I'm proud of you
Mary- why's everyone proud *she says walking into the conversation late*
Lucas- sky's coming to the party
Mary- yeah! Isn't it great *she says smiling warmly and pulling sky into a hug*
*Just then Max and Harvey walk past with their group of friends*
Jake- oh well if it isn't the mute and the giants. Mary why do you chill with them?
Mary- because they're my friends arsehole and they're probably realer people than all you guys put together
Harvey- Jake mate that wasn't called for they didn't do anything to you they were literally just standing there and Mary can chill with and be friends with who she wants also leave Skylar alone please
Jake- woah mate what's wrong with you? You don't have a problem with us saying anything to any other weirdos so why them?
*Max and Harvey look at each other*
Skylar- *grabs her phone* because we are just generally better people than most so that's why they don't say anything to us and leave us to it the boys are actually quite nice people try taking a leaf out of their book sometime arsehole
Jake- ooo well that's scary *he mocks while putting his hands up in the air*
Max- come on mate leave them to it the rest of the group have gone now this is boring they aren't worth it
*Max drags Jake away while giving Sky an apologetic look for what he just said*
Harvey- you know Max didn't mean the right?
*Sky nods her head*
Harvey- better catch them up... see you around I guess *he says walking away*
Ben- okay what was all that about
Skylar- you know just because I don't speak doesn't mean I can't stand up for myself and my friends
Ben- I don't mean that... I mean why did Max and Harvey stick up for us and why did Harvey speak to you just then?
*she shrugs*
Mary- it's weird because someone was taking the piss out of her in our first period yesterday and Max stuck up for her
Lucas- yeah he was also speaking to her on the corridor yesterday and I had to ask if there was something wrong because I've never seen them speak to her before
Ben- oh my god maybe they have secret crushes on you!
Mary- probably... if Sky wasn't my best friend I would *she bites her lip*
Lucas- okay guys we get it we know you're bisexual but you seriously don't need to be this creepy with it *he laughs*
Mary- I'm kidding with the lip biting thing but I'm not kidding about the other part
Ben- Mary do you have a crush on Sky?
Mary- it's a minor one but it's there *she blushes*
*Sky blushes and then the bell rings for them to go to their first period*
Skylar's PoV
Oh my god! My best friend has a crush on me! I mean yeah we're both bisexual but we agreed that we wouldn't catch feelings for each other because it would ruin our friendship and we value that more than a relationship. Urgh I hope this doesn't ruin things I also hope that nothing that I'm going to regret later happens on Saturday not just with her with anyone my brother would actually kill me however my dad just wants me to speak and socialise so I doubt he will care much. You'd think after Mary admitting that, that it would be awkward for the rest of the day but it wasn't things just went on as normal and then I headed home. What thought couldn't escape my mind though other than the Mary thing is why Max and Harvey are all of a sudden being so nice to me like they have barely even looked at me for the past 5 years let alone speak to me. Urgh I hope this isn't a bad thing...
