*outside the adventure park*
Lucas- woah it's huge
Max- pahahaha that's what he said
Mary- Max you idiot *she laughs*
Harvey- right it's now or never
*they walk through the gates and to the ticket office the lovely man leads them to their part of the site and tells them to set up and they would be called for their activity shortly*
Jake- no questions asked the sleeping arrangement is still the same
Max- bu-
Jake- Max you know what I'm like with the order things have to be in it stresses me out if things aren't right
*they unpack and get their tent set up and everything ready when they hear the man from before call through the tent door saying that they're up for their first activity they followed him to this huge woodland area and stood with another group of teenagers which were literally the polar opposites of them and the man explains everything*
Man- right today you're going to be doing the levitated tree line course you will be partnered up and you and your partner must work together to get though it you will not have harnesses but if you do fall their is a net underneath you I have a list of you all here and I will partner you up within your groups let's start with group A Ryan's group so we're going to have:
Lucas and Ryan
Ben and Jake
Mary and Harvey
Max and Skylar
Max's PoV
Great so not only am I in the same friendship group as her but I also have to use 1-1 physical contact with her because we have to help each other through this fucking course. Part of me actually hates Ryan but he doesn't know and he didn't decide the groups so I can't hate him he thought it would be some fun and his dad payed for it so I can't be ungrateful. Lucas and Ryan went first and as soon as they got half way through Ben and Jake went and it went so on and so fourth until it came to Skylar and I
Man- are you guys ready
Max- yeah
Man- young lady?
Max- oh umm she doesn't talk
Man- poor thing... well you guys have fun
*Skylar smiles*
Max- will do
*they set off through the scarily high course*
Max- look just grab my clothes if you need me or tap my shoulder or something just don't hesitate to gesture to me that you need help
Skylar- o-or I could just talk to you
Max- *still shocked when she speaks* why me?
Skylar- I heard everything
Max- what do you mean?
Skylar- I heard what you and Harvey were talking about and then I heard when Mary joined in as well. I'm really annoyed at Myles so when I get home I will write him a very aggressive note
Max- why don't you just talk to him he is your older brother?
Skylar- because I don't trust him like I trust you and Harvey. I don't even trust Mary Ben and Lucas which is why I don't talk much when they're around the same with Ryan and Jake
Max- yeah I don't blame you with Ryan and Jake
*they walk for a while and Max is the one mostly almost falling until Skylar notices something*
Skylar- hey Max, where's the net?
Max- what do you mean? *he looks down* yeah that wasn't like that when the others did it
Skylar- it's the other group... look
*they look down and see the other group walking into the woods with the net Max looks at Skylar and sees the fear on her face*
Max- still scared of heights huh?
Skylar- is it that obvious
Max- *laughs* come on if we cross these floating swings the net is on the other side we should be fine
Skylar- Max you're forgetting that we don't have harnesses or anything
Max- think positive remember when we were kids and me you and Harvey used to get ourselves into these situations what would Harvey always say?
Skylar- close your eyes believe in yourself don't look down and move forward it's going to be okay
Max- exactly that we can do this
Skylar- okay lets do this then
*they go on for a few seconds and then one of the swings suddenly snaps underneath Skylar and it's only hanging on by one side of the rope*
Max- *grabs her* I got you don't worry. Right now lower your hands down on to the swing rope and try and climb your way up to me
Skylar- *tears in her eyes* I don't think I can Max
Max- *sees Harvey suddenly run while seeing all the commotion on the cameras the rest of the group isn't too far behind them* do you think you can drop for Harvey to catch you
Skylar- are you crazy?! Harvey can't catch me it's too high my weight will literally break his legs
Harvey- if we all form a circle and catch you no one will get hurt! Just trust us!
Max- come on Sky if you can trust me you can trust them. I hurt you more than anyone here and if you can still find it in you to trust me you can find it in you to trust them *he looks down at her and smiles*
Skylar- okay *she says tears now streaming down her face*
Max- right she's coming down!
Harvey- okay everyone get into a circle and put your arms in the middle! Okay Sky we're ready when you are!
*Sky takes a deep breath smiles at Max and then let's herself fall*
Harvey- we got her Max! Keep going we will see you at the other side!
Mary- oh my god sky! Are you okay? *she says throwing her arms around her*
Skylar- *takes a deep breath* the other team took the net away and then one of the swings snapped and yeah nearly died
Harvey- Sky do you know who is on the other team
Skylar- no?
Harvey- Lexie
Ben- wait as in Lexie your old best friend?
Harvey- she wasn't my best friend she was Sky's and yes that's the exact one
Skylar- I'm sorry I can't
*she says while running off into the woods*
