Both episodes were sooooooooo good!!!!!
Imma not going to be doing Amphibia anymore, bc I don't enjoy reviewing it. I will absolutely be doing Marcy at the Gates though, and any other really important ones. But, I did like the Wally backstory, and I love the Gravity Falls crossover. It was everything I had hoped ❤️
Now for tOH:
c'mon. I died. Grom killed me. It was beautiful. Incredible. Wonderful. Perfect. The dance scene was IMMACULATE!!! The animation, background, choreography.... it was stunning!!!! I loved everyone's grom outfits, and I thought that the b-plot with King and Gus was cute. Eda looked killer in her suit, and she definitely could've pulled off red eyeshadow.
Amity's fear? phenomenal.
Luz being an oblivious idiot? Unparalleled.
Lore about the boiling isles? Lovely.
Development for both Luz and Amity? Terrific.
Ending the episode with a frightening cliffhanger that will likely be important to the story? Stupendous.
Hotel? Trivago.
And, I've said it before, but: Dana and her crew are so incredible, and it is no ordinary feat to be the first animated Disney show to have the main couple be gay. I know they're not together yet, but.... c'mon. It's amazing. Anyone who says otherwise can fight me.
