Back in high school there was this transfer student from England, he was a cute little bean with long curly hair- and when i say long i mean his eyes were covered, not the long that reaches the waist or something-. his skin was caucasian and his eyes were like mine , honey. he was the kindest kid to me when everyone were bullying me. he would help me with my books when it's all over the floor or clean my hair from eggshells when i'm so broken that i don't care anymore. occasionally, he sits with me in lunch and that to me was the happiest time of the day. UNTIL, he stoped talking to me ,helping me or eating with me, and he started hanging out with -yes you guessed it chase fucking hudson-. I felt left out Again. a while later in the graduation ceremony he came to me and apologized, he said he was forced to stay away from me and he felt the need to explain. after that he went back to England. but he left me a note in my yearbook that says:

"why do people spend energy to hurt others?".

"ester?" zack's voice took me out of my daze , we're still in the car driving towards Brooklyn,i looked out the window to enjoy the bridge view and then looked at the boy next to me.

"are you okay" he said with worried expression.

"ah , yes ,sorry" i stumbled in my words "i'm here" i said smiling goofly.

"i hope i did not bore you miss park" he smiled sadly and i knew i probably missed his words or something.

"no absolutely not i promise"i said shifting to face him.

"i said " he emphasized the words "how's college life is going for you?" he looked at me briefly before he looked back at the road ahead of us.

"it's okay" i said shifting back to my seat "it's actually way better then highschool" i looked out of the window again to enjoy the water under the bridge and thought about those curls. i'm sure we would've been best friends if chase was not in my life. but then i looked at the gorgeous boy next to me with his smiley face bopping to the music and thought to myself; well chase is still in my life but look at me going to dates,he doesn't have power over my life anymore. or he just doesn't spend energy to hurt me anymore.

we stopped at the same icecream shop i visited last time with chase. zack got me the biggest bowl they offered. we sat on the booth next to the windows. sharing the icecream as well as our thoughts and dreams. zack is 3 years older then me,this is his final year in college, he lives at Boston, his parents are doctors and they were kinda against zack and literature. but they got to accept their son's wish in the end . he have a bigger brother and he likes the colour red. we shared our music interest and he laughed when he knew i like kpop -1 for you Zachary. then we just laughed about it for quite a while. and i end up showing him couple of song to change his mind. spoiler for you guys ; he did not.

we went into a city drive for a while and then by 11pm he asked if i want to go to the party he told me about and i agreed. few minutes drive and we reached this fancy neighbourhood where all the houses look alike with big ass pool and big ass lawn. then we stopped in front of this house with huge glass window and a fountain in the middel of the green lawn . To my surprise it didn't look like there's a party inside but there were a long line of cars in front of it. We hopped out the car and headed to the front door and then stopped for a moment while zack texted someone. Seconds later Tristan opened the door for us.

Actually, there were a party inside because people were crowded and enjoying their time in playing games and drinking. The music was playing in the background in a soothing instrument and that's why i didn't hear it from outside. For a moment i thought this some type of classy party but then everyone was smoking some wierd cigarettes. And probably half of them were licking each other throats. Zack led us to the kitchen where the host of the party was chilling with couple of girls he was a black kid with expensive looks and extremely beautiful teeth,he was so nice to us and offered that we act like home.
