Devin's POV

"How's everything?" I asked Patrick on a call.

["Still working on the lights, bro. Tapos na naman lahat, you can starts planning your escape na jan"] he laughed which made me shake my head a little. I got shocked when Reese came near me so I had to hung up the call. She seems to be doubting me because I can't help but panic every time she comes near me.

When I noticed that she was going up the stairs, I immediately put on my shoes and slowly opened the door so that she couldn't hear me going out. I parked my car away from home so I could easily leave and head to the convention center. It was only a few minutes before I got there and also because there was no traffic on the road. Patrick handed me the ring before he returned to check if everything was already prepared in the whole place.

"Goodluck, bro,"he tapped my shoulders before going to his place. They were all just standing on the side and me in the middle while holding a bouquet of flowers, hoping and waiting for Reese to get here. Almost everyone I knew I invited here as well as Reese's other friends and relatives.

I immediately looked up when the door opened and there the woman we were all waiting for came out. I smiled at him as our eyes met. "Devin?" she said as she restrained herself from crying.

"Happy Anniversary!" I greeted her before she walked near me.

"Ano 'to?" she curiously asked.

"Surprise continuation," I handed her the flowers and slowly reached for her hand when the music started. We danced while the guests watched happily and the others burst into tears.

"Babe," Reese cried.

"Hey, don't cry. We should be happy now," I said laughing.

"Kasi naman eh! 'Di mo 'ko sinabihan!"

"Edi, hindi na surpise 'yon".

I wiped her tears with my thumb then I kissed her on the forehead before speaking, "Reese?". The speaker turned on as I spoke and only my voice could be heard throughout the garden.

"I have nothing else to say but I love you. I love you even though you were very angry with me when we first met. I love you even though you didn't want to give me banana chips when we went to Ilocos. I love you even though you shed my blood when we went to the carnival and you made me ride on the highest rides. Reese, you are the only one I love and will love no matter how many times you punch me on my arm every time you'll be pissed off."

Everyone laughed so did she. "Babe, I'm here infront of you and infront of the people who truly know us, asking you," I knelt on the ground as I grab a box of ring out of my pocket, "If you're willing to marry me".

"Oh my gosh!" she covered her face when her tears flowed.
