Imagine if the Arkenstone really was a Silmaril, then Maglor would have to come out of his eternal wanderings and attempt to take back the Silmaril- again.
Perhaps he would even have to ask for Elrond's aid, to complete such a task. It would make for an interesting reunion...

A/N I've seen the headcanon about how people believe think that the Arkenstone is a Silmaril. Personally I don't believe it is (at least I hope its not lol)
