It was my Grandfather's who had given it to me when I had gotten my Hogwarts letter. And as you can imagine, I have been obsessed with it ever since.
I was well-into my playing, when the infamous group of 'Marauders' strutted into the room, Sirius and James looking very full of themselves. Remus has his head pushed into a book about transfiguration, while Peter was focusing on his untied shoe-laces, which seemed to fascinate him very much for some reason.
I played the Jaws song, you know, the dramatic one? As they walked into the middle of the common room.
"Haha, very funny." James said, slightly amused. I stopped playing and grinned, as James and Sirius took a seat next to me on the Window sill, Peter and Remus sat on the couch in front of us.
"What can I do you boys for on this fine, fine Summer's day?" I asked, putting down my pick.
"Oh nothin, just played another prank." James confirmed.
"Shock-horror." I rolled my eyes.
"Hey (Y/n), what song reminds me of you?" Sirius asked, with a toothy grin, his black locks cascading perfectly just below his shoulders.
I thought for a moment, before smirking.
"You really want to know, Mr Black, my opinion?" I cocked my head to the side.
"Yes, my dear girl, I do." He smiled.
I got up and put my guitar in position.
"For the Hogwarts man-whore." I tease, and the group just chuckles.
I played a few notes, before getting straight into the song.
I clear my throat.
"Scotty doesn't know that Fiona and me do it in a van every Sunday." James and Remus were in a fit of laugher.
"She tells him she's in church but she's in her knees and Scotty doesn't know! Scotty doesn't know! So don't tell Scotty!" I laugh along with the two, as Sirius looks at me with an unamused smirk across his face.
"Any other songs Madame? With no swear words?" He asked, intrigued. I hesitate, then laugh, before playing a few notes to my favourite Bowling For Soup song.
"I can lay it on real thick 'cause I know how you don't like to get bogged down with anything 'bout us and our kick ass true love tale sorry I swore just then 'cause I know, you hate it and by the way that cake you baked me really sucked but I ate it 'cause I loved you even more that you could ever imagine here's a friendly goodbye, five, six, seven... "Oh come on, you love me Siri!" I grin, cheekily.
"Giving of more than you can chew?" James laughed.
"More like swallowing more than he can suck," I grumble under my breath, but unfortunately for me; Sirius heard me.
"I hear it's not difficult for you to swallow, is it princess?" He smirks, and the water that James was drinking came out of his nose due to him laughing so hard.
"Innocent until proven guilty, Mr Black." I respond, smartly, internally applauding myself for coming up with that so quickly.
"I can prove you guilty sweetheart..." I scoff at his proclamation.
"Sure you can."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"As if I would sleep with you Sirius Black." He raised an eyebrow.
"We'll see in all due time love, we'll see..." He gets up, and walks to his dorm.
"HEY!? WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!" I shout in his direction, earning another 'you'll see' from the 'Teenage Dirtbag.'
