Nakapasok na ako kaya sure ako na nakaalis na si Nathan. I turned around and saw some unknown people sitting on the living room.
"good afternoon po" I greeted them. I smiled at everyone and noticed someone.
"Kai?" I asked confused.
"Shaznei? ikaw yung-" the man cut him off. Kai looked nervous.
"let her parents tell her, son" the man smiled at me.
"looks like you already knew each other, what a coincidence" the women laughed in finesse.
"sit down, anak" mom said and held my hand. I could tell that she's nervous too.
"uh hija, what's your name?" the women asked me. I smiled before answering.
"Shaznei po, Shaznei Villanueva" I said.
"beautiful, anyway, I'm Veronica, call me mom too" she said and smiled. Nawala ang ngiti sa mukha ko.
I looked at mom and gave her an 'what is she saying' look, she then smiled and started to explain everything.
"anak, you're going to marry Kairo" mom said and held my hand tightly.
"what?!" I whispered. I looked at my dad who was now scared of my reaction.
"dad? for real? tell me this is not" I said and shook my head.
"hija, you have to, you're the only hope of your parents since you're an only child" tita Veronica smirked.
"what if hindi ako pumayag?" I asked them politely.
"I guess your father will talk to you later about it" the man said and sipped at his drink.
I looked at dad. He gulped. What the hell.
"you'll go out together every other day"
"you have to be sweet when you're with someone"
"you'll live together once we have settled everything" his dad continuously said.
"let's have dinner, I think everything's already settled" dad said to clear the air.
Alam kong alam nila na naguguluhan ako sa mga nangyayari kaya gumawa sila ng excuse.
Right after the dinner, I immediately confronted them about what happened earlier.
"what the hell was that?!" I shouted.
"watch your words, Arianna Shaznei!" dad scolded me.
"bakit pumayag kayo?! alam niyong may boyfriend ako!" I yelled.
"calm down, anak don't raise your voice" mom said.
"how am I supposed to calm down?!ipapakasal niyo ko sa hindi ko naman mahal!" I told them.
"the company is losing money" my dad tilted his head down. "ikaw lang ang pagasa namin" he said.
"bakit nawawalan ng pera?! was that also my fault kaya saakin ang consequences?" I asked.
"can you stop shouting?" mom massaged her forehead.
"answer my question!" I said.
"too much debt, yung business partner namin ng mom mo, tinakas yung pera, we cannot find him anywhere" dad said.
"how much is the debt?" I asked.
