Jin opened his eyes to the hospital ceiling. His head was in a daze. An IV wound his veins.

His memories were huddled back into vision

His memories were huddled back into vision. He remembered what he had once forgotten.

The face he forgot, the person he loved, the place where his heart always was.

Jin felt his heart ache. These two months, he had forgotten the most important part of his life.

"How are you now, Mr. Kim SeokJin?" Coming to the room the doctor asked.

"I remember her!" Jin replied.

The doctor was slightly surprised.

"I remember the face I hated, when you showed me." Jin was still not over, with his mind. His answers were muddled up, yet understandable.

"Hmm! That's good! You had selective amnesia. She was the only one you forgot. Your parents chose not to tell you this, so as not to burden you. Here, I have some prescriptions. Don't exert yourself. You can go home soon." The doctor closed the file and started to leave.

"Who bought me here?" Jin was curious. He needed to thank them, at the least.

"A young man and woman bought you here. They contacted your brother and left, once he arrived. He is waiting outside." The doctor replied, and left the room.

Meanwhile in the car, Taehyung took concerned glances at his cousin.

I held him once again, in my arms. He is still handsome. His heartbeat is still soft. What happened to him? How was he? I hope he is fine.

Rin looked out of the window, at the rain. The rain was unexpected on that fine day. It started the moment when she held in her arms, as he fell down.

It seemed as if the nature wept at them in mockery, or perhaps in concern.

Her fingers trailed through the path made by the water droplets on the outer side of the window.

Her eyes were moist. It was time to leave her past. She should not hang on.

They were a closed book.

A wonderful book, that no one wanted to open. The last pages were scratched and torn. It was wet. The book, let it be locked away, in the memories of the writers.

"I am accepting my scholarship. I will transfer to England, for my remaining two years, and the Masters." Rin commented with a straight face.

Taehyung slammed the brakes. Fortunately, they were at a red signal.

"You never wanted to leave here. But why, now?" Taehyung never wanted to hear her answer.

"That's better for me!" Rin replied.

"Lee Seul Rin, think about it! You are leaving behind everything here." Taehyung tried his best. He seldom used her full name.

"Appa is there! I will be with him. It's not good for me to hang on to the past." Rin's reply portrayed her decision.

"But you have to leave in three days." Taehyung reminded.

"It's not an issue. I have nothing much to pack." Rin replied.

In a shuffled haze, three days were up. The packing done. Formalities taken care off. Rin's father informed about her arrival at England. Goodbyes exchanged. Hugs given. Moist eyes wiped. Hands waved.

Looking back just before she handed over her passport, Rin came to Taehyung.

"Here, give this back to it's owner. I am no longer entrusted to hold it. I trust you Taetae." Rin placed something on Taehyung's palm and left for her departure.

Taehyung opened his palm, their friends looking in concern.

It was the neck chain with Jin's name carved on it.

It was his first gift for her, on the winter they became one. The winter they confessed their love.

Jin's muddled mind had been keeping him restless for the past three days. He never contacted anyone. He never left his home.

He knew where his answer would be. But he was hesitating.

Giving up, he dialled the number that always waited for his call, for the past three years. The number he had never forgotten. The caller end who was his, once.

The number you have dialled is currently switched off...

His multiple calls ended, unanswered. The number existed no more. There was no one in the other end to take his call.

Jin hopelessly tried. All in vain. His heart murmured in his ears, it's too late.

Taehyung looked at the sky, as the airplane flew away, to a distance of many hours, many miles away. He clutched the chain tightly in his fists.

Silently, near her window seat, Rin looked down at her homeland that got smaller and smaller, not knowing when she would ever come back. Her past was buried. Her mind was set for future.

But still her heart burned. The fire that was once kindled, burned mercilessly bright. It lingered in the feelings, the hurt, the scars.

Life again played them.
