The group of children surrounded us. We weren't sure what to do as we all kinda just looked at each other.
It didn't take long before the adults of this community showed up. They were in a large group. Anger in their faces as their home had been invaded.
"Remember we are in their home. Everyone keep calm," Bellamy ordered.
"Weapons down," Clarke said.
We each placed our weapons on the ground and put our hands up to show we were harmless.
"Abby stay with Murphy."
Murphy, unlike the others, had been knocked out almost completely. I think he was bitten by something but I wasn't sure.
"Rose! Get away from them!" A woman yelled from the crowd of marching people.
"Guards to the front."
"Hey, it's okay!" Clarke yelled putting her hands up. "We're from Earth. We come in peace."
There were many mutters throughout the crowd and I wasn't sure what to do so I just stayed quiet.
A woman came up to the hostage we had who name I found out be Kaylee
"Where have you been?" she asked. "Wheres your family?"
Kaylee glared at us. "They killed them."
"Well, that's not good," I muttered to myself. They defiantly ill not like hearing about how we killed their people.
At that moment, Murphy started seizing and the veins in his body were turning black. What the hell happened while they were down here?
"Help us please," Clarke begged. "Our friends dying."
Abby began chest compressions because Murphy wasn't breathing anymore. This can't be good.
"Let me pass," someone from the group said. A man who was dressed in a golden rob and had two personal guards made his way to the front. This guy was definitely important in some way probably their leader. "Move them back," he ordered.
The guards stuck out their spears to push Clarke and Abby away from Murphy's body.
"What are you doing? He'll die!" Abby shouted.
"Do you want my help or not?" The man asked. That's when Abby and Clarke backed away from Murphy. The man knelt down and lifted his shirt. His whole chest and stomach were covered in black veins "He's already dead." My eyes widened. Dead? How? What even happened down here. "Fortunately for him. Death is not the end."
What the hell does that mean?
The lead called a man named Cillian over and spoke to him in a hushed voice. The other man, Cillian, bent down next to Murphy's body and pulled a snake out of his bag.
"What the hell?" I mutter to Jordan who just shrugged.
Cillian held that snake close to Murphy's body trying to get it to bite him.
"Oh my god," Clarke gasped.
"Trust me I know. But the venom degrades too quickly to deliver it in any other form," Cillian explained.
I looked over Clarke's shoulder and watched. Fascinated at their way of medicine. "It's working," I said shocked as his veins slowly turned back to their normal shade.
"Fascinating isn't it?" the man who I presumed to be their leader said. "Their curing properties was discovered during one of the earliest red suns." The man turned to the crowd of people. "Poison made the demon Gabrial believe he could walk on water. The Kepa-She bit him and the toxin from the seaweed had no effect."
