Gretchen: Hey, where did Zim go?
Dib: He doesn't do well with big gatherings. Also, he's not my friend, so I don't really care.
Gretchen: Well, friend or not, I think you should go and just talk to him. Something might be wrong.
Dib: Fine, we'll go together.
Gretchen: I guess catching the bouquet will have to wait another day.
Dib: Huh?
Gretchen: Nothing, let's go!
***
Dib: Zim, we need to talk.
Zim: I'm not in the mood.
Dib: Zim, why did you run away?
Zim: It's none of your buisiness, why should I disclose information to my enemy?
Dib: Because, I don't know. You have a point. I just thought maybe, we didn't have to always be enemies.
Zim (lashing out and striking Dib in the face): WE WILL ALWAYS BE ENEMIES, and don't you forget it.
(Gretchen reacts in horror)
Zim: Oh, hi fellow classmate girl, what are you doing here?
Dib: Let's just go. (Gretchen pulls him away to get him medical help) He's no use.
Gretchen (using a wet paper towel to clean blood off the scratch)
Dib: It's just a scratch, not a big deal at all.
Gretchen: No, I just. What's going on between you two? Why did he lash out? I thought you two were friends.
Dib: For the last time we aren't- Gretchen look, it's complicated, we've been enemies as long as we've known each other, but lately things have been changing, ever so slightly, I thought maybe he has changed, but he's still the same slimy, wretched alien he's always been.
Gretchen: I agree.
Dib: With what?
Gretchen: I've always believed you when you said Zim was an alien. I'm sorry I never took up for you the way you took up for me.
Dib: Why are you being so nice to me now?
Gretchen: Truth is, I've always kinda liked you, I mean like-liked you. I just always thought you were pretty cool, but I could never be cool like you.
Dib: Oh, me, cool? You can't be serious.
Gretchen: I bet you think I'm an ugly freak.
Dib: No way! As a matter of fact, I think you're pretty, er, pretty. And you're super creative and unique. We should talk to each other more.
Gretchen: Really?
Dib: Why not?
(Gretchen hugs Dib. Gretchen secretly celebrates.)

Mariah and Rae, upon being alerted, exit the wedding party and look for Zim, who was not far gone.
Mariah: Zim!
Zim: If you're someone else looking to talk, I don't wanna.
Rae: We do want to talk to you, just not about feelings.
Mariah: Yeah, we wanted to reveal you something. (both take Zim to a secluded area)
Zim: Get you filthy human hands off me!
Rae: How insulting. We aren't humans. (shapeshifts to true form)
Mariah: We're Irkens just like you.
Zim: Did the Tallest send you, what, I don't understand?
Rae: We don't even know who the current Tallest are.
Mariah: We're descendants of what we call the First Irkens, if that gives you any clue. The only Tallest we care about is Tallest Miyuki, who fell out of contact ages ago.
Zim: You mean? Yes, that does check out, there was a group of missing Irkens from the First Operation Doom. I thought you went extinct. If this is the case,
How have you not taken over the Earth?
Mariah: We'll explain, but only if you join us.
