Jisung's P.O.V.
I pull my jacket closer to my body as I leave the apartment, stepping into the freezing cold air and barely being able to see. I walk down the sidewalks in the dark, my heart racing a mile a minute as I look for that alleyway. The same alleyway I've been going into for years. I hope Minho isn't too worried about me...I told him it's nothing to worry about, but I don't think he believed me.
My hands slip into my pocket to make sure my revolver is still there, and I am reassured that it is when I feel the cold metal. Walking into this alleyway is going to be like walking towards my own death. I've been able to avoid dying all these years, but someday I might slip up and it'll happen. Just hopefully not anytime soon. I look around the streets frantically in search of anyone following me, but I see no one.
The sidewalks in Seoul at nighttime are barely ever bare, but tonight they are unusually empty and quiet. Almost like the world knows I'm going to do something I might regret and never forget. I haven't forgotten anything I've ever done, not now and not in the past. God I'm so fucked up. Time seems like it's frozen or has slowed down, the never ending ticking of a clock in my ears as I get closer to my destination. I pull my hood off so he knows it's me and round the corner, prepared to immediately get punched in the face.
But all I'm faced with is a dim lamp post and my opponent standing opposite of me at the end of the alleyway. We both stand, silent for a minute, letting the slight wind howl in our ears. "Han Jisung...didn't think you were coming." The man's voice booms, echoing off the brick walls surrounding us.
"I wouldn't have if I was smarter than this." I answer cockily.
"Don't be using that tone with me, boy. You've got something that I want, and I want it right here right now. Give it to me or you get hurt." He walks closer.
"I've told you time and time again, I don't have your money. You can think I do all you want, but I assure you that I don't have it. I've barely ever opened my father's safe, and besides if I did I wouldn't have had time to get the money anyway. I got evicted not that long ago. So you can hurt me all you want, it won't change anything." I reply, crossing my arms. The man walks back and forth, pacing in front of me before stopping.
"How about we hurt that little bitch of yours then, hm? What was his name?...Ah, Minho. He seems very attached to you, Han. He's also got an important role in the police force...lead detective I think...in fact, I believe he's lead detective in your homicide cases, isn't he? Tsk, tsk Jisung...sooner or later he'll find out you're the serial killer." I tense up when he mentions my boyfriend.
"How do you know about him? How did you find out about Minho?" I ask through a clenched jaw. He laughs.
"Oh we have plenty of sources...they saw you two hanging out together lately. He's a very attractive man, maybe we'll fuck up his pretty face a bit...maybe that'll teach you not to mess around with us." The man answers, getting closer. I spit at his feet.
"If you touch him...if you hurt my Minho, I will not hesitate to kill you with my bare hands. I will make sure you die a slow and painful death. I will make sure that no one ever sees or hears from you again. You can hurt me all you want, but you are not allowed to lay a finger on my Minho." I reply with an icy tone in my voice, my heart pounding. The man smirks.
"We'll see about that, boy...if you don't hand over the money I asked for, you and your little slut will be in big trouble."
"I told you I don't have your money, I would have given it to you if I did. And don't you ever fucking touch my boyfriend or I will send you to the deepest pits of hell. You will know what real pain feels like." The man smiles and gets in my face.
"Pain, huh? You'll know what pain feels like after I get my hands on your little whore." He replies before I punch him in the jaw, sending him backwards into the brick wall.
"Don't you ever call him that again." I growl before he punches me, hitting me in the cheek and sending me flying back onto the pavement. He storms up and hits me in between my stomach and my chest, knocking the air out of me and making it hard to breath. I gasp for air as the corners of my vision blacken, my life lying on a very thin line between living or dying.
He pins me to the ground and takes his knife out, forcing the sleeve of my jacket up and carving out a gash in my bicep with the knife. I scream out in pain and try to fight him off as hard as I can, luckily my legs are long enough to kick him so I kick him in the back of the head, sending him forward. I roll out from underneath him just in time, my arm throbbing and stinging with pain as he falls flat on the pavement.
I seize the opportunity at hand and take my revolver out of my pocket, aiming it at his head and cocking it before pulling the trigger. He stops squirming as the bullet pierces his skull, and a blanket of silence covers the alleyway. I slip my gun back in my pocket and leave the alleyway, putting my hood back on in case there have been new security cameras installed in place of the ones I smashed.
I pull the sleeve of my jacket down, ignoring my burning bicep but holding it tightly so I don't lose too much blood. My heart races as I reach the apartment, wondering if Minho is still up worrying about me. I'm about to go inside when I decide not to, walking away to go take a walk for a few hours. I can't face my boyfriend just yet. Not after what just happened. I need some time to cool myself off, no matter how injured I am.
