Jisung's P.O.V

Pacing back and forth in the hallway, I stare at the clock waiting for Minho to come home. I know it's only been no more than two days without him, but I've never had to not be with him for long amounts of time since we got together. I keep flicking between the clock and my phone, waiting for anything, a call, a text, something. The cats stare at me as if I'm going crazy.

I finally hear a car door slam and I hurry to the door to open it for when he knocks. I wait until a knock sounds before swinging the door open with a smile, only for that smile to be wiped off my face immediately. "Mom?"

"You remember me?" The dark haired woman standing in front of me asks.

"You are the reason I have blood on my hands. The reason I no longer hesitate to pull a trigger. The reason why, even now, ten years later, I can't sleep at night. Damn right I remember you. What are you even doing here?" I stand there, baffled.

"Your boyfriend brought me here...aren't you happy to see me, Sungie?"

"Don't you dare call me that again."

"So now I'm not allowed to call my own son by his nickname?"

"Exactly."

"Jisung, darling, what did I do for you to treat me like this?" She walks in and crosses her arms. I scoff.

"What did you do?! Are you fucking kidding me?! You left my father when I was only nine years old damn well knowing what kind of person he was and what he would do to me, AND YOU LEFT! You abandoned your only son and practically left me for dead! That's what you did, so yes I am not very happy to see you!" I turn my back towards her and try to walk away.

"Han Jisung, I'm trying to be a part of your life now. I know I haven't been the best mother the past ten years-"

"Correction, you haven't been a mother at all."

"But despite that, I want to be a part of your life and make sure you're capable of taking care of yourself." I chuckle sarcastically at her reply.

"Minho has that completely covered, thank you for actually caring this time around but I'd appreciate it if you leave and never come back." I go to prepare dinner for my boyfriend, completely ignoring her figure standing next to the table.

"Jisung, I'm only trying to- nevermind, this always happens with you." I raise an eyebrow.

"What always happens with me? Please do be specific dear woman who gave birth to me."

"You've become so damaged that when someone tries to give you what you deserve, you have no fucking idea how to respond." I stare blankly at the wall, blinking repeatedly but not sure how to respond.

"E-Excuse me?" I croak out.

"As soon as someone tries to come into your life and treat you better than others, you push them out because you're convinced you don't need them."

"Well I know I certainly don't need you, mother," I laugh, "I have my reasons for not wanting you back here."

"I know that but-" She's interrupted by Minho coming in with the luggage, coughing violently.

"Will you...both...stop fighting please?" He wheezes, holding his chest and sinking to the floor. I put my spatula down, rushing over to him and crouching to his level.

"Baby are you okay?" He nods.

"H-Hanahaki..." is all he gets out and I immediately run to get the garbage can, bringing it back to him along with a glass of water. I stroke his hair and pat his back to help him before he coughs up the flower petals into the trash. I hand him the glass of water and he sips it slowly.

"Are you alright, Minho?" I ask, my voice softened.

"I'm fine love, it was just some minor complications...I'm alright now." I nod and continue rubbing his back.

"Jisung, we should-"

"Shouldn't you let me take care of my boyfriend right now, mother?" I bite back with flames in my tone. She backs off and retires in the living room. "It still hasn't left?" I tuck a strand of hair behind Minho's ear. He shakes his head.

"I don't know what's wrong with it...it's supposed to go away when the person who gave it to me falls in love with me...and if you gave it to me, then I don't understand why it's not gone."

"I'm sure we'll find out what's wrong soon enough." I kiss his forehead before my phone dings, revealing a very threatening message that has been sent to me. "I...have to go. Will you be okay baby?" I get up.

"Yes, I'll be fine Sungie, go." I nod and grab my jacket, rushing off into the night. Once again, the sidewalks are bare, no beings in sight except for me. I wrap my jacket around my body, the pistol still safely and neatly tucked in the inside pocket. As I approach the alleyway, I hear drunken voices singing and talking loudly, all of which sound like men. I'm definitely in for a good fight.

I stride into the area, putting my hood down and making my presence known to the enemies. "Han," one slurs, "so nice of you to make it."

"What do you lot want? I've got better things to do." I reply boredly.

"We want what should have been ours but your pretty little side thing got in the way." My blood boils as they mention Minho. They all move closer, surrounding me in a circle.

"What do you want? Whatever it is, I'll give it to you." One of the men chuckles.

"I'm sure you won't give us this without force....I wonder how pretty you'll look with all of those clothes off of you." My face falls.

"W-What?"

"You know what I mean, Han." I try to back up to run but they block me from escaping. Now in full fight or flight, I start throwing punches, bloodying my knuckles and receiving a few bruises in return. A few of them stagger but none move from where they're standing, determined to make me feel small where I stand.

Suddenly, someone from behind me covers my nose and mouth with a cloth, and I'm knocked out.
