I was going to do it. I didn't care what Dan thought anymore, it's for his own benefit and possibly for others. Having nothing else to do I invited Kyle back to my flat where he would finally meet his long lost friend, but he didn't know that...

I knew Dan would already be there waiting for me to return: he always was. I had previously texted him before Kyle and I left that he was in for a surprise. I was, however, reluctant. Maybe there was something I didn't know that happened between them, some sort of conflict that went unbeknown. I needed this to go right.

I entered first, my hand gripping the door handle in anticipation. There he was, sitting at the breakfast bar smiling now that I had arrived, unaware of Kyle's presence. I turned to Kyle behind me and gestured for him to come inside. Dan was the first thing he locked his eyes onto, the both of them mirroring each other's facial expressions. If my social skills were as up to the rank I thought they were, I could read their faces and could tell that none of them were angry - shocked definitely - but not angry. Eyes wide and mouth agape, they stared at one another.

"D-Dan?" Kyle muttered, his breath being manually forced out his mouth. Dan swallowed hard and blinked a couple of times out. Dan stood parallel to Kyle with the corners of his lips curling into a smile. I watched from the side, my eyes starting to tear up. This was emotional in all sense of the meaning; two best friends separated for a long period of time and now finally meeting.

Within a click of the fingers they were latching on to each other in that classic man-hug, heads hanging over their shoulders and the drumming of their hands on their back. They seemed like brothers the way they hugged.

"I thought you were dead man, don't do that to me again." Kyle muttered, breaking a smile.

"Uh, yeah sorry." Dan mumbled back. I wanted to get out their way, I wanted them to sit and talk about things that they were needing to be caught up on, it's only the right thing to do.

"I'll leave you guys to it." I pursed my lips into a smile and headed to my bedroom, giving them the privacy they deserve. Thank God it wasn't a repeat of the meeting of Abigail and Dan. Throughout the entire time I sat in my room reading my book, hearing loud roars of laughter find its way to my ears, making my lips curl up into a smile. I was glad. Glad that I brought this upon them, made Dan feel happier and Kyle get his friend back. I did wonder though, would Dan want Bastille to reunite? Dan would never want to take that risk of rising to fame again and have everyone know who he is, plus, everyone thinks he's dead, how would I fix that? The more the problem dawned on me the more I realised that it was inevitable. It just wouldn't make sense.

The laughter died down into silence, I began to grow suspicious when silence filled the house. I pressed my ear flat against the door, trying to focus the best of my hearing abilities on the faint mumbles that were coming from them. I could only just make out what they were saying...they were talking about me.

"She's special, Kyle. I don't really know where I'd be right now if she wasn't there that night."

"She really cares about you. She searched me up to find out more about you."

"Really?" Dan seemed shocked at this. Does he underestimate me for my love for him? Does he even know?

"Yeah man, I told her."

"I can't lose her." Dan explained, his voice becoming uneasily uncontrollable.

"Well..." Kyle starts, hearing a slap on what I assumed to be Dan's shoulder. "Don't do anything stupid."

"Define stupid." Dan replied.

They quietly chuckled along with each other before I heard footsteps coming towards my location, I panicked and flopped onto my bed just in time for Dans head to pop through the door. He came in and sat at the edge of my bed with that sweet smile on his face.

"Amelia why don't you come through?" He asked, but almost more like he was suggesting it rather than asking.

"I don't want to bother you guys, you haven't seen each other in a while and it's only right I give you both time together." I smiled at him.

"Don't be silly, I like having you around, you should know that by now, eh Amelia?" He winked sending a wave of rosiness to my cheeks. I swear my heart skipped a beat. I sighed and placed my bookmark into my book and followed Dan into living room.

We literally spent the entire night laughing, chatting and also drinking. Dan decided to bring out any alcohol that was stored in the fridge even though it was Abigail's and not mine...I'm sure she won't mind. We had all gotten to the point where we were aware of what was coming out our mouths but our thought process was delayed. That awkward stage where you know you're drunk, but not drunk enough.

My head was moving back and forth from Kyle's to Dan's and back again, each of them telling a different part of the same story barely able to keep their laughter in. I had never seen Dan laugh so much in the one night, it was something I loved to see, his lips spread into a smile. Oh, those lips. I want to kiss them so much. I knew the alcohol was settling in and I couldn't hold back the enraged feelings that had been locked away for a long time. Alcohol was the key to letting them free, I just had suppress them for a little while longer - at least until Kyle leaves.

That time finally came, Kyle edged his way to the door saying his farewell to Dan. I hugged him but he didn't let go.

"Thank you." He mumbled into my ear.

"What for?"

"For giving me my friend back."

I patted his back and he headed out the door claiming that he would see us soon.

I left Dan to clean the room while I went for a shower but that had been delayed when my hair got stuck on my dress zip. Shit.

"Dan? Can you help me? I've gotten my hair stuck on my zip"

I walked into the room and pulled the majority of my hair over my shoulder and let Dan figure out how I managed to stupidly get my hair caught. His touch was delicate, careful to not forcefully yank my hair out. Once my hair was untangled he unzipped my denim dress revealing the whole of my back and pulling away any strands of remaining hair to the side. The tingling sensation had my eyes rolling in pleasure and that unforgivable turning feeling in my stomach was definitely caused by his closeness. I adored his presence. I didn't move, my feet where stuck to the floor, my body refused to obey my brains commands. I felt his eyes scanning me from behind, my muscles tensed as soon as I felt his breath close to my shoulder. His lips softly brushed against my skin in the most pacifying way. I tilted my head as he continued, one hand now roaming my waist and the other cradling my head as he began to apply more pressure to his kisses.

My mind was completely delirious. I was unable to think, to process, to physically function. And the only possibly acceptable reason for it was because of Dan. Surely if he makes me feel this way then I am definitely in love with him.

He nibbled on the lobes of my ears before vigorously spinning me around planting his lips onto mine. Our lips were deeply interlocked with each other and with every second that past by his passion became stronger as well as his strength. Before too long my dress was ripped off of me and my legs were tightly coiled round his body as he supported me, his hands secured around my back. Our lips never parted for a second. Already, he made his way to my bedroom where I knew what was expected to come next.

He stopped to gain his breath back and to take the rest of my clothes off and his...oh my. His chest and stomach area were far more toned than the last time. He cheekily smirked at me while he caught me gloating at him. I did nothing but bite my lip in embarrassment, but he took it all away with one simple kiss. But that was only the beginning of what was to come.

I have definitely missed this. No doubt about that.
