You stare at your phone and wipe your eyes, you need him here with you right now. You want him here with you. You avert your eyes to positive tests next to you before starting to cry again. The father wasn't bothered and now neither is Micheal, even though he doesn't know.

"Fuck." You whisper before collapsing back onto the floor and staring at the stars you had stuck up there when you were 8 and had a sudden interest in space. That was only 9 years ago.

"17 and pregnant." You mutter slapping your head before you hear the door go. You quickly jump up and run down the stairs to open the door.

"Hey," Michael smiles.

"You're here!"

"Yeah, it sounded urgent so I told Elizabeth I'd be a bit late, I need to tell you something as well."

"Come in," You smile leading him towards the living room. Normally you two would go to your room but that's where the pregnancy tests are spread out.

"You first," You tell him sitting comfortably.

"The boys and I are going tour!"

"Where?"

"Well we leave for London and then we're going to America and stuff. How amazing is that?!" He shouts, you stare at him shocked before forcing a smile and attacking him into a hug.

"That's amazing!" You shout hugging him.

"What about you?"

"Oh it's nothing. I was just bored," You lie, he laughs and shakes his head.

"I gotta go cause I need to tell Elizabeth but you'll see me off right? I leave in 5 days."

"Of course." You smile showing him out.

A few days later you are outside Michael's house while his dad packed his suitcase into the back of the car.

"Have fun," You smile hugging him.

"It's going to be amazing! I'll see you soon though, 10 months!" He said hugging me tightly.

"10 months."

"I love you, you're my best friend."

"You're my best friend too," You tell him before he gets into the car. You put your hands on the window and he does the same,

"Good luck." You mouth before smiling and letting him drive off.

-8 months later-

"Have you heard the boys are coming home for a break?" Your best friend asks, you look at her with wide eyes.

"How am I supposed to face him, when my stomach looks like this!"

"You didn't tell him?!" She shouts, you shake your head as she sighs loudly.

"We'll just say you're visiting your family."

"My whole family lives here."

"Fine, a friend."

"I don't have many friends," I say.

"We'll make someone up, say you met them after he left."

"Okay," You sigh looking down at your stomach and smiling before you feel a pain.

"We might not need to make something up, the baby's coming now," You say looking at her. Her eyes widen and she calls the midwife to come over.

A few hours later you hold your little girl in your arms and smile at her, your friend is next to you playing with her feet.

"She's beautiful," Your friend says, "Do you have a name?"

"Michael and I said if we ever had a girl, not together obviously, but we would call her Rosie."

"Rosie it is." She smiles stroking her cheek.

"Hello Rosie." You whisper.

"I'll tell Michael you're in Melbourne." Your friend says.

-2 and a half years later-

"Rosie be careful!" You shout as she harshly shakes her toy, you run over and take it off her because it would hurt if it hit her before hearing the door go.

"Oh," You mutter stressed as your daughter picked up a cuddly toy and started to play with that instead, running towards the door you pull it open and freeze.

"Michael," You say.

"You've been avoiding me," He says.

"I haven't!"

"You have y/n, don't try and act like you haven't."

"Mummy!" Your daughter screams, Michael frowns and looks at you.

"Mummy?"

"I was going to tell you."

"When? When she was 18 or something?" He asks angrily.

"Michael-."

"Mummy!" Your daughter screams again, you groan loudly and run to see her, leaving Michael on your doorstep.

"What's up honey?" You ask picking her up as Michael slowly walks into the room.

"Is he my daddy?" Rosie asks.

"No, sorry Rosie," You answer.

"Rosie?"

"Hi!" She says.

"Hi, I'm Michael. Your uncle," He says looking at you, you smile as he picks her up and holds her closely.

"Your hair is blue."

"Do you like it?"

"You look like a smurf," She giggles cutely. Michael laughs and pokes her nose.

"How old are you?" He asks.

"Nearly three."

"Nearly three?! Wow!"

"I'm a big girl."

"You are," He says putting her down, "Can we talk?"

"Yeah, Rosie we'll be in the kitchen. Be good," You warn.

"Yes mummy."

"Good girl," You say kissing her head. You follow Michael to the kitchen and sit facing him on a stool.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asks.

"It was the day you told me you were going to London."

"You could have told me."

"I couldn't Michael! You were going to do this amazing thing and I wasn't."

"Giving birth is an amazing thing."

"Yeah I know, it hurts," You laugh shaking my head. He smiles and rubs your arm,

"So, where's the dad?"

"Don't know."

"Does he know?"

"Yeah, he conveniently left the country. Haven't seen him since."

"I'm sorry y/n."

"It's fine, I like it being just Rosie and me," You say.

"I love the name Rosie."

"Me too," You smile.

"That's what I was going to name my first girl, I remember the pact we made."

"Me too, that's why I chose it."

"Who is the dad?" Michael asks, you look at him and shake your head.

"I'd rather not say," You answer looking away.
