"I’m sorry, you want in?" You breathed, looking up at the bassist who was currently standing outside your hotel room door, fiddling with fingers and avoiding eye contact with you. Finally Calum looked up, a rosy pink now splashed across his cheeks from embarrassment. He gave you a slight shrug, as if it should be self-explanatory why he had just agreed to aid in your mission of making your ex, and his best friend, jealous.

"Care to explain?" You asked, an inquisitive look forming on your face, eyebrows furrowing as you watched his movements.

"He hurt me too…" He mumbled. You raised your eyebrows, urging him to continue. You felt your cheeks heat up and your skin flush as the sudden possibility of Calum having feelings for Luke, flashed through your mind. What if he had liked Luke the entire time, and he had flirted with you to try and co-

"Me and Tilly kinda were a thing, ya know, before Luke came along and fucked everything up." Never mind then.

"Then she left me in the dirt, didn’t even think twice about leaving… He knew exactly what he was doing…" He trailed off. You watched as his jaw muscles tensed and his sad puppy dog eyes flickered from feature to feature of your face, visibly agitated.

"Wait wait, so Luke cheated on me, with Tilly, who was cheating on you?" You asked, thoroughly caught off guard by the enormity of what Calum had just divulged to you.

"Pretty much," he stated flatly. "So I wanna help. I figure if Tilly sees how jealous Luke is over you, she’ll come running back to me"

"I don’t think that’s how it w- you know what, OK." You gave him a smile and watched as his entire body relaxed.

"So what’s the plan?" He smirked.

~the next day~

After an hour long conversation with Calum the previous evening, it was an enormous understatement to say you were nervous for the events that were supposed to unfold today. He was much more confident and far more willing to take risks than you were. Which became very apparent to both you and Calum when you had been devising your plan. However, after much encouragement from Calum and several shots of an unknown liquor in the mini bar, you finally agreed on what to do. And now, as your tour bus pulled in to today’s venue and your stomach began to churn, you realized that it probably would have been in your best interest to make this decision sober. It wasn’t that it was a bad plan, nor was it that you didn’t want to see Luke fuming with jealousy, but you didn’t want to get the rest of your band wrapped up in your personal feud. Pushing those thoughts out of your mind, you stood up, straightening your button up, velvet crop top and waited for the all-clear to get off the bus as it parked.

"Hey y/n?" You felt a tap on your short-clad leg, causing you to jump and spin around, far too abruptly for the confined space. Jonah looked up at you with wide, frightened eyes, clearly taken aback by your actions. "Ummm… I was wondering if I could maybe, you could hold on to my inhaler for today, I don’t have pockets and I know I’m gonna need it in this heat….?" She trailed off. You immediately felt the bubble of guilt form in the pit your stomach, as you realized your entire band was now staring at you.

"Uh, yea! Sure!" You smiled, trying to pretend as if you hadn’t just responded to a loving tap from your friend like it was a 10,000 volt shock.

"Thanks… I guess?" She grinned awkwardly, not exactly sure how to respond to you.

"Ok then." You nodded, more as an assurance to yourself, and made your way off the bus. As you stepped outside in to the sweltering Arizona heat, you were met by Calum, leaning against the bus parked adjacent to yours, black skinny jeans and ripped ARMY singlet clinging to his body.
