The New Hero Saga

.... The screen was in black-and-white, as the 1950s host speaks while he smoked his cigar and lit it with his own thumb. "Three months have now taken place since the unfortunate death of Ronin Honoo, Ryu's father. Ryu had now become a changed man—seeking to make immense for all the wrongs he'd done in his past. He became the towns local hero, helping others, especially his own family: becoming the Hero his little brother Ryo always wanted him to be. But in the meantime, the Southern Water Tribe beauty Kara forms a romantic attraction towards the former trouble-maker who has now turned good all-of-a-suddenly? Will Kara be brave enough to admit her feelings for Ryu Honoo?" he finishes.

.... Three months after the death of Ronin Honoo and the events that took place, Ryu Honoo had finally come to his senses and realized he had to change his attitude and his way of life altogether. Ryu had gotten himself completely clean and permanently off drugs and alcohol and had begun to change his personality simultaneously. He visited the barber and got a new haircut — (in a clean cut Chinese short hairstyle, with spickey tips), he regained his high-grade point average, and along with that: he joined the Rough Ball team of Republic City High School, known as the Republic City Phoenixes.

.... It was the grand final tournament of the Rough Ball championship and the Republic City Phoenixes were going-up against the two-year-in-a-row champions, the Ba-Sing-Se Warmongers. The Phoenixes were losing by three points and knew if they went for a kick-off it'd tie the game, as the game would go into overtime and chances of winning this game could be far greater. "Two-fifty-two, two-fifty-three, two-fifty-four. Hike-hike!" Maku as the lead quarterback gave the word for his team to sprint. Both teams clashed although the person who carried the ball was not allowed to bend– unless he lobbed the ball to someone else. Maku dodged the bending attacks from the opposing team. "Out of my way!" Maku quickly flipped over a player who earth-bended a stone disk in his direction. "Hurry, Maku I'm open!" shouted his teammate Lee-Jinn. Maku threw the ball toward Lee-Jinn as he barely grabbed the end of it. Back outside the wall barrier – (which protects the audience from bending attacks) as the crowd cheer uproariously for their teams. "Mother I can't see Ryu anywhere!" exclaimed Ryo, trying to speak to his mother over the noisy crowd. "There he is! He's a back-up quarterback-look!" she revealed as the crowd cheered. "YEAH!" six crazy, fat fanboys and girls were covered in red, orange and yellow flaming body paint. Along with another fan who was dressed like a phoenix. "YEAH, GO PHOENIXES! WOOP, WOOP, WOOP!" "YEAH SEND THEM BACK TO BA-SING-SE!" they continued to shout.

.... Then some large rough-ball "Hardcore Fanboys" walk up to both Ryo and Rikona. "Hey-bub! are you wearing a War-Mongers sports shirt!?" he asked firmly. "Because if you are, me and my boys will be forced to rough-you-up a bit!" he came down from the pews dressed-up like an overly nostalgic looking Phoenix. "Uh' no, kind sir. My boy is just wearing an ordinary green sports shirt, that is all!" Rikona spoke-up. "Well it better just be an ordinary green shirt, because this area is Phoenix territory and we won't let any of our rivals tread their feet upon our sacred nest!" he shouted. "Sacred nest? its just a simple sports game" Ryo replied. The Fanboy gasped. "What!? this is the most important event in all of human history, even more important than the conclusion of the Hundred Year War!" he yelled. "Wait? You're comparing this to the conclusion of the Hundred Year War?" Rikona asked incredulously. "Because the Phoenixes will scorch all their enemies, until we emerge victorious, CAW-CAW-CAW!" the Fanboy raised up his horn. "HHHOOONNNKKK!" both Rikona and Ryo were pretty annoyed by his over the top behavior. "Okay, okay... we'll be more careful next time" Rikona confirmed. "Okay, then enjoy the game...." he looked back and forth. "BA-SING-SE SUCKS! REPUBLIC CITY RULES, WHOA-WHOA-WHOA!" he ran back shouting for his team while waving his sports towel over his head. "Ryo my son, just to be safe, take off that green shirt and put on this red shirt instead" Rikona ordered her son to take off his green shirt. "But mother; this is my favorite sports shirt!" Ryo pleaded. "Just take-it-off right now, before we see another-one of those crazy over the top rough-ball fans!" She told him. "But, why Mother?" "Because look over there" she pointed at the same Rough-Ball fan along with his buddies, about to devour their lunch. "Tell my hot wife, who's bearing my beloved child--if I don't make-it, tell her I went down as a man!" he picked-up a giant tub of food. "Ready-set-go!" "CHOKE, CHOKE, CHOKE, CHOKE, CHOKE!" shouted his Rough-Ball buddies as he chugged down the ultra-super stuffed meaty dumplings. "Dude if you die tonight can I have your TV?" one of his buddies kindly asked. "Yeah, my son, see what I mean-- lets move a couple rows down" said Rikona who covered her son's eyes. "But I want to see another ambulance come" Ryo complained. "Let's just go, now!" Rikona didn't want to attract anymore of these crazy over the top sports fans.
