After receiving legitimate clothes from the young blonde, Kohaku, I decided to meander around the area I was allowed to be in; Ginro and Kinro being the only things blocking my entrance to the village itself.

As I wandered, I was able to meet our other members: Ruri, Kaseki, Suika, and Gen so far, but I haven't been able to find Chrome just yet. I have a lot of questions that I desperately need answers to regarding his herbal and crystal collections.

I soon found a quiet spot, taking a seat and leaning against a tree, letting my eyes fall closed before they were forced open again, except this time, I was staring at my matron goddess, Tefnut.

"Tefnut? What brings you here?" As I spoke, I stood, dusting myself off and looking behind me only to see my body still peacefully sleeping.

"Little Cub, is everything alright? I've heard your soul crying out to me in distress." Her voice, while quite rough, was smoothed with worry, her large cat-like eyes unintentionally made her concern seem false.

"Oh, no, I'm fine; I didn't even realize I had been calling you. I guess I just needed to see my "mom" since I haven't seen my real mother..." I looked down as I trailed off, I hadn't even thought of looking for my parents; I had been too focused on Senku and survival.

Tefnut's eyes were gentle as she pulled me into a hug, petting my head. "It is alright to feel lonely, Little Cub. Just know that Anubis and myself are always here to aid you in your distress."

I gave a swift nod before hugging her back, giving her a squeeze before I let her go and returned to my body. When I opened my eyes this time around, I was met with chocolate brown orbs and hands gently shaking me.

"Oh, good, you're up. I was worried since I just sort of saw you laying here." The voice was actually quite awkward but the man was kind with spiky brown hair to even it out.

"...Are you Chrome, by any chance?" I tilted my head, unable to hide the slight hopefulness my voice held.

"Yup! The one and only!" He proudly pointed to himself with his thumb, a large grin stretching across his face.

A similar grin came to mine as I hopped up. "I'm (Y/N)! It's great to meet you Chrome! I've actually been looking for you; I have a ton of questions for you."

Without letting him speak another word, I grabbed his arm and dragged him off towards the shed and sat him down, closing the door and ignoring Senku's calls to help him. Chrome just blinked at me while I sat across from him.

"Tell me where you got each and every one of these herbs and crystals." My voice was slightly strained from glee as my eyes searched his own and his face.

Chrome blinked but grinned. "Happily!" He then proceeded to grab an herb and explain, in detail, where he found it and what plants were around it.

This process continued for hours on end; Chrome telling me where was what and what was nearby or with it and what animals were there, etc. It didn't take long for night to fall and when it did, Chrome and I wished each other a good night before I crawled out of the shed, intending on making my way to Kohaku so we could sleep together, however, I stopped to wish Senku good night only to find him still in the lab. I decided not to bother him because he looked rather busy but, I couldn't help this nagging thought:

'Why did he look so frustrated?'
