1. Existence

Darkness.

That's all that there was.

After that strange and bright light, darkness enveloped my mind; there was nothing and there was no one.

Most panicked and I could feel their energy slowly fade. It was incredibly strange for a person's aura to fade away like that and I even felt my own drifting away, though I managed to hang on to it.

It took everything I had not to fall into the darkness or who knows whether I could've gotten out or not.

While waiting to leave the petrified state I was forced into, I decided to take things into my own hands; I couldn't just keep sitting around and waiting for something to change.

The familiar feeling of weightlessness overcame me once again as I let my astral body float above me. I cast my eyes down towards my body and gasped as my eyes fell upon my stoned covered self. I didn't understand what could have possibly caused this...anomaly but I didn't have time to ponder it, either; I could feel my conscious self drifting into the darkness and I desperately needed a way to remain conscious.

With a sigh, I made my way into the God's Realm and approached my patron deity, Anubis. He had been with me long before the petrification and has always left me with clear and wonderful advice and I needed it now more than anything.

"Anubis?" My eyes washed over to realm in search of the jackal-headed god. "Anubis, I need you."

Shortly after my pleas for his aid, he came forth. "(Y/N), my child, what brings you to me today?" His voice was rich and gentle and commanding, like black silk and it never failed to leave me feeling safe.

"I'm sure you've seen, but the world has kind of gone to shit; every complex living organism has turned to fuckin' stone!" As I spoke, my voice hitched as my panic began to set in.

Sensing my panic as he always had, Anubis laid his hands on my shoulders and spoke calmly. "My child, I have indeed seen this new horror that has overtaken the Earth. My fellows and I are working tirelessly to figure out what exactly has happened and why. There is no need to fret, child."

I offered my patron a nod and a smile before I bid him farewell, making my way back to my body.

Life has been the same as I stay frozen completely in time; I visit the God's Realm often to converse with Qetesh, Tefnut, and Anubis and I also take the time to visit Michiel, my guardian angel, as well as my Bwbach who has yet to leave my side.

As yet another day passes that I'm frozen on the earth, I remain in a meditative state, healing myself in every aspect I could. Being so incredibly wrapped up in healing my Third Eye, I failed to notice the cracks beginning to form over my body.

As soon as I feel the stone crumble off of me, I slowly sweep my eyes up the pair of spindly legs before me. I take in the figure of a scrawny teenager holding a strange-looking pot.

While his appearance may have been strange, what stood out were his garnet-red eyes.
