Awake at Night

Chapter 4 ~Sam~

I swear I didnt do anything.
Ugh. This always happens. Every night on 23rd December I get randomly chucked out of the orphanage and I wake up at a completely random place. Everyone acts normal after I come back and its annoying. When I ask someone they act completely clueless and trust me, they should not be employed as actors.
I was used to waking up at random places but this time  I was with someone.
'Thalia? What are you doing here? Where are we?' I asked while rubbing my eyes. I got up. Thalia didn't move. She was facing me. Her intense blue eyes made it hard for me to read her expressions. It shifted between angry and scared. That made me scared. I turned around.
Surprisingly I saw nothing. I thought I would see a bear or something. Thalia still didnt move and stared at the rock. I looked at her.
'Thalia, why the hell are you making that face?' I asked.
She didnt move but she said ' I cant believe I got it wrong. I failed' she said. She was still looking at the rock.
I felt pretty stupid standing in between but Thalia just felt so disappointed, it was weird. I only knew her for like a month but she just felt different.
'Um. Ok so I'm confused.' I said. She didnt move a muscle.
'I guess you're not gonna explain-'
I dont remember what had happened at  that moment exactly but I could tell you that I didn't want to go hell. Something had pulled me from behind. It dragged me across the mud and banged my head on some rocks. Thalia had been running after me the entire time but she never caught up. Finally, she took out bow and arrows from know where and shot the thing behind me.
I couldn't been what had just happened. I screamed about three times. There was an arrow floating mid-air. I felt like running for my life but I knew of I did I would wind up in an even more whack place than this. We weren't in Boston anymore that's for sure.
'Dude, are you okay?' Thalia asked me.
'No!' I screamed 'I am not okay! A random arrow that you got out of nowhere is stuck mid-air and I just got attacked by.... i dont even know. Air?!?'
I really wasn't that angry. I was more confused.
'You really couldn't see anything?' She said 'Then I have made a mistake. I must go and fix it' She turned around and walked on. I followed cause I could literally do nothing else.
