Longing for that ephemeral bliss
That arrives with a kiss
A kiss of winds that skim past
My dark tresses
And for the hands of fate
That held my face
Soothingly still in placeI implore the evening skies
With my light brown eyes
To retreat into the night
Into the Wide expanse
That's completely devoid of light
Into the comfortable cucoon
Of darkness that shelters me
From the demons that lurk
In the deep Recesses of my mind
This aching need to rewind
Burns a hole within my heart
