Yin and Yang

I simply watched them,
Masquerade with mellow masks
And utter sweet sounding words
I simply watched them,
As fate tore them apart
Just like that,

It's the same old crowd,
Peppered with the same rustic antics
To me, they just look like lunatics
Desperately looking
For their long lost love,
The Yin to their Yang

As sly as a spider,
They weave the web of guilt
Enslaving you, little by little
It's suffocating
It's unsettling
It's terrifying
When you try to escape
The confines of that dark place

Others don't see what you see
Paranoia takes over
When you realise how utterly silly
You sound,
Even to yourself
It's suffocating
It's unsetting
It's terrifying
