Gaps flourish the most
Where ghastly grudges exist
Secretly smudging,
The entirety
Of an unheeding presence,
That could have been yours
Might have been mine
Who knows where they lie tonight
Punching holes and gaps
Into the fabric of space and time
Until the hollowness consumes
The light, secretly dimming
The essence of kaleidoscopic auras,
Surrounding usYou know it's wrong,
When you have to search for
Unnatural sounding words
Forcing them out like poison
Accidentally blurting
Vague splotches of the truth
And then you wonder
Why the utter confusion
Is what had reigned instead,
A far cry from clarityYou know it's wrong,
When your intuition stays silent
And you let it
Hide it under the mat,
Then call it inner peaceYou know it's wrong,
When a secret addiction
Is what drives you
Further and further
Until there is no where left to goYou know it's wrong,
When the best goblets of wine
Grace your fingers
When the cornucopia of pleasures
Are all yours for the tasting
When the room is crowded, with joy
And yet something is amissYou know it's wrong,
When you can feel it in your bones
Shuddering with regret,
Slowly sinking inside
Till you can hold it in no more,
Exploding into a supernova
